A few thoughts from a massage therapist… after being the client 💭 💆‍♀️

I recently had a massage that left me thinking about my own work — not because anything was terribly wrong, but because it reminded me just how much the little things matter.

It made me reflect on all the small details I weave into my own treatments — and why creating a space where someone feels comfortable enough to speak up, switch off and completely let go matters so much to me.

And now I’m curious…

Coming to visit me for a treatment? Here’s exactly how to find my little tucked-away Treatment Cabin 🌿

I know it’s always nice to know exactly where you’re going when visiting somewhere for the first time, so I thought I’d put together a little step-by-step of what to look out for when you arrive.

There’s parking on the driveway (and plenty of unrestricted roadside parking if it’s full), then it’s just a little wander through the garden to find me tucked away at the end.

Your full address and everything you need for your appointment will be sent over in your Fresha booking confirmation.

Then all that’s left to do is arrive, switch off and let me take care of the rest 🤍

The Treatment Cabin has had a little glow-up recently, and somehow a few small changes have made it feel even softer, calmer and cosier. 🌳 🕯️

I’m always thinking about how the space feels when you walk through the door — because I think your treatment begins long before the massage does.

💆‍♀️ 💤 But honestly, if you drift off, that’s often exactly what your body and mind need in that moment.

You feel safe enough to completely let go — and I promise, you’re not missing a thing.

While your mind switches off, your body is still receiving every bit of care. Your muscles are softening, your skin is being nourished, and your nervous system is getting a chance to truly rest.

So if you fall asleep on my treatment bed… let yourself.

Have you ever fought the urge to drift off during a treatment?

I AVOIDED booking myself in for treatments because I felt self-conscious. 🥴

Not because I’d had a terrible experience, but because I never quite found someone who made me feel completely comfortable in my own skin. That doesn’t mean they did anything wrong. It just means I never felt able to switch off.

That experience shaped the kind of Massage Therapist I wanted to become.

My goal has never been to simply provide a massage. It’s to create a space where you don’t spend the whole treatment wondering what I think of your body, your skin, your hair or the little things you wish were different.

Instead, I want you to feel seen, cared for and completely accepted.
