𝟏𝟕 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐈 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦. 🤍

I had no idea where that uniform would take me. And if I’m completely honest, I picked a career randomly off the list in the careers room at school and off I went into the unknown.

From those early NHS years, through countless shifts, new skills, new challenges and some very long days… to eventually finding my way into aesthetics and building a career that looks completely different to the one I imagined when I qualified.

There have been plenty of highs, plenty of lessons and definitely a few moments where I wondered what I was doing 😂

But when I look back over the last 17 years, I think what I’m most grateful for is the people this career has led me to.

The patients I’ve met and had the honour of treating, the people who have trusted me with their care, and the relationships that have grown along the way.

The colleagues who became friends… and the friendships that have lasted long beyond the workplace.

Some people have been part of my journey for years, others only for a short chapter, but each has shaped my career in some way.

17 years later and I’m still a Nurse. Still learning. Still developing. Still putting on a uniform and still incredibly proud of the career I’ve built.

And I’m so grateful for every person who has been part of it.

Here’s to 17 years… and whatever comes next! 🙏🏼

Two brides completed their treatment plans and headed off to enjoy their September weddings. 🤍

Lots of filler and microneedling this month, but they are still not the top dog.

5. Reg is home!

After a long holiday at Nanny’s while the building work happened, our Reg finally came home.

He was soon in trouble for stealing the plasterer’s Greggs steak bake and legging it downstairs. 😂

7. A very special skin journey

I was honoured to help transform a patient’s melasma ahead of a very special occasion… and the results have been incredible. It’s not over yet, so I’ll share more soon. 🤍
