Have you ever wondered how I got into this career? And why I started my business?

Well it started from my own experience with my own skin.

When I was younger, I struggled with acne and like so many people, I was told by doctors it was just “teenage spots”. Without being asked anything about my skin, what my skin type was, if I was cleansing, if I was using the right products on my face, I was palmed off with steroid creams and medication that would calm them down temporarily. But my skin was left painfully dry, irritated and damaged. And as soon as I stopped them, it all came back. I was so self conscious and unhappy in myself.

Then came the global pandemic. With a little extra time on, I took the time to learn about my skin needs and skincare.

I built a simple skincare routine around my skin type, stopped using the things that were damaging my skin barrier, and for the first time I understood that treating the problem isn’t always about simply putting a plaster over it.

And that’s when I became obsessed with skin ✨

After being out of work for nearly two years raising 2 under 2, I knew I needed something that worked around my family — but only wanted to pursue something I genuinely loved. So I took my experience, my passion and a lot of faith in myself… spend a heck load of money and time on training until I was confident enough. That’s when The Glow Room was born 💜✨

Except it really was just a “room” at first. 😂

It was my living room, a collapsible bed and a few candles 🕯️ My clients who came to me back then are still with me today, 2 years later 🥹

2 years, hundreds of 5 star reviews⭐ , a thriving little business where I’ve met some incredible, inspiring people, in a salon with gorgeous girls. The Glow Room has come a long way..

But I promise you, this is just the start. ✨🩷

My passion will always be helping people understand their skin, finding what actually works for them and helping them feel more confident in it.

✨ Out of Office ✨

Just a little note to let you know that I’ll be out of office from 2nd June, and all messages will be responded to from 10th June onwards.

This holiday is extra special as I’m taking my children on their first holiday abroad ✈️ ☀️ 🇪🇸
We’ll be spending some much-needed quality time together in the sunshine, making memories.
