My philosophy: The truly good massage therapy may begin with the body, but it should always ends with the soul. “

CAN WE JUST TAKE A MOMENT TO TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH EVERYONE IS CARRYING RIGHT NOW? 🥹😔
How much everyone is juggling, how much people are trying to hold together..how many people are struggling behind the scenes while still getting up every morning, showing up for their families, going to work, looking after everyone else, paying the bills, meeting expectations, dealing with responsibilities and trying to somehow find a little bit of themselves amongst it all...
I see it in my own life, isee it in my family and I see it every single day in the people who walk through my treatment room door... 😢
People who arrive for a treatment carrying far more than the tension in their shoulders or the exhaustion in their bodies...
People who are mentally drained, people who are grieving, people who are worried about their children, their relationships, their finances, their health, their future, people who are trying to navigate things they never imagined they would have to face an people who are holding it together for everyone else because they don't feel they have the luxury of falling apart themselves.. 💔
And sometimes, people who just don't know how much longer they can keep going at the pace they're going...
We live in a world that seems to demand so much from us... w must be productive, be successful, be a good parent, partner, friend, colleague... Keep up! Keep going! Don't fall behind! Smile! Get on with it... and on and on and on..
And somewhere along the way, I think we've forgotten that we're human beings, not machines... 😢💔
We are allowed to struggle and feel overwhelmed... we are allowed to have days when everything feels a little too much ans we are allowed to need help, to need rest, to need reassurance, to need someone to notice that we're not quite ourselves...
And yet, when mental health is such a huge concern and so many people are struggling to find their footing, I find myself wondering why there sometimes seems to be so little compassion in the world around us...
Why are we so quick to judge? so quick to assume the worst? Why do some people seem to take pleasure in criticising, belittling, provoking or adding to someone else's pain??
Why, when we know how difficult life can be, would we ever want to make it harder for another person???
We don't have to agree with everyone.. we don't have to understand every decision someone makes and we don't have to like everyone you meet...
But surely we can still choose to be kind?
Surely we can disagree without being cruel? Set boundaries without being unkind? Speak our truth without deliberately hurting someone? Hold people accountable without stripping them of their dignity?
Because there is a difference between honesty and cruelty... between having an opinion and intentionally causing harm annd there is a difference between standing up for yourself and making someone else feel small...!!
Kindness is not weakness, compassion is not naivety and empathy DOES NOT cost us nearly as much as its absence can cost someone else...
We have absolutely no idea what someone has cried about in private, what they've been told by a doctor, what they're worried about when their head hits the pillow, what they've survived, what they're grieving, what they're trying to heal from, or how much courage it took just to get through the day!!!!
The person who seems quiet or distant might be struggling, the person who seems irritable might be overwhelmed.. the person who always smiles might be barely holding it together...
And really- the person who appears to have everything together, might be fighting a battle you know nothing about....
CAN WE NOT JUST BE F**KKNG KIND!!
And thatl doesn't mean we have to excuse every behaviour or accept being treated badly ourselves. Compassion for others and boundaries for ourselves can exist together...🙏 But it does mean we could all afford to pause before wer react, think before we speak anx ask ourselves whether what we're about to say or do will help, or whether it will simply add more hurt to a world that already feels heavy enough...!!
I think we need to start looking at one another a little differently.
Less comparison, less judgement and less tearing each other down...
And maybe a little more checking in, more listening without immediately trying to fix things... more patience when someone isn't quite themselves, and more bloody support!!
Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer another human being isn't advice, a solution or an opinion.
It's a safe space, alistening ear, a little understanding, moment where they don't have to pretend they're fine or just genuine support..
And if there's one thing I am continually reminded of every simgle day, it's that people need space to breathe, space to soften and space to put down, even for a little while, the things they've been carrying...
We cannot fix everything that's happening in the world and we definitely cant take away everyone's pain... But we can decide how we show up in it....
We can CHOOSE not to be another source of hurt... We can CHOOSE to speak with care....
We can CHOOSE to lead with compassion, even when life is testing our own capacity to give it....And we can CHOOSE to be the person who makes someone else's day a little lighter rather than a little heavier....
We need to remember that the people around us are juggling things too, even the ones who look like they've got it all together, the ones who don't talk about it and even the ones who seem very different from us....
We are all human, trying to navigate this life... and most of us are doing the very best we can with what we have, what we know and what we're carrying... 🙏🥰
So, if you're reading this and life feels heavy right now, please know you don't have to have it all figured out ans you don't have to earn rest by reaching breaking point...
And if you're in a place where you have a little more capacity today, maybe offer some of that kindness to someone else... 🥹❤️
Because we genuinely never know what a person might be going through, and sometimes the smallest act of compassion can mean more than we will ever realise..
Can we please be a little gentler with eachother 🙏 and not just when someone is visibly struggling...
But in the everyday moments, in the words we choose, in the assumptions we make, and in the way we treat people when we have nothing to gain from being kind...
Because life is already a lot for so many people.... Let's not make it heavier than it needs to be...

Lately, I have been receiving frequent emails and Messenger messages from marketing professionals and agencies. They all begin in much the same way: they believe that creating more social media content , being more active online would increase my reach and bring me more clients.
So, I think it is time to make something clear.
I am a therapist first and a business owner second. The number of clients I have will never depend on pre-recorded videos or constant posting.
Creating content is not my job, nor do I wish to follow this trend. Instead of spending my time producing content, I choose to invest it in ensuring that my work remains knowledge-based, thorough and thoughtfully delivered. My reputation, my marketing strategy and my clients’ satisfaction are all determined in the same place: my treatment room—in the connection between my client, my work and me.
I am a therapist. I work with people’s physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. That is what I do. Full stop.
I do not feel obliged to display my knowledge, abilities or dedication to therapy before a worldwide audience. For me, the smiles and hugs at the end of a treatment, the sighs or tears of relief, and the many private messages filled with feedback and gratitude are more than enough.
No piece of social media content could ever replace these moments, let alone truly capture them. They have to be experienced. You have to be present in the moment.
Fortunately, my clients allow me to share in many beautiful and meaningful moments, and I simply do not have any energy left for performing on social media. Even if I did, I would not want to jump on that bandwagon. In my view, it takes the focus away from what our work is truly about: healing and the human being at the heart of it.
I believe my greatest marketing tools are my two hands, my passion for therapy, the knowledge and experience I have gained, my lifelong commitment to learning, the care and attention I give to people, my complete presence—and simply being myself.
This approach worked for me ten years ago, and I am happy to remain committed to this more traditional path today.
So, thank you for the three or more irritatingly persistent offers I receive every day to manage my page and build a marketing strategy for me. However, with all due respect, I choose to remain exactly who I am—as I am, grounded in my own reality.
And for anyone who would like to experience what a therapeutic session with me is truly like, my door remains open.
