Only 60g of hair?!! 🤯

My client wanted to add a little volume whilst still keeping her hair looking natural - 1 x 60g weft row added and check out the result 🤌🏽✨

She’s finally ginger!! 🧡

When Shannon first came to me about 4 years ago, her hair was a combination of reds and blonde! I struggled to colour match her but we made it work 😄 over the years she’s had different variations of red/ginger/blonde (swipe to see some of the different looks) - and now she’s finally settled in to her natural ginge era 🤩

And her hair is SO much healthier, SO much longer and she looks unreal!! 👏🏽

Unfortunately she’s moving away, so I might not ever be doing this hair again!! 🥹 but we have had some of the funniest, weirdest and most heartfelt conversations over the years and she’s definitely a client that became a friend 🫶🏽

The plot twist 👀

She was considering going darker before her extensions 👀

We went BLONDER instead 😂

Sometimes you don’t need to change your hair colour, you just need the right extensions to make your colour pop ✨🤍

In the first pic I was 16 and I had absolutely NO idea what I was doing 😂 other than matching my gold eyeliner with my gold hoop earrings 🫠

I was at college studying performing arts mainly because I’d decided I wanted a career on the West End (still do tbf 🤣)

And before that I’d actually wanted to study makeup artistry 😬

Why didn’t I?

Because I didn’t like the kit they were making us buy 😂

Yep, that was genuinely the level of pettiness we were working with 🫣

So I chose performing arts instead. Then went to university, got a degree in dance, decided the West End probably wasn’t going to happen because I didn’t know how to get there or have the right connections… and then somehow ended up working in finance 🤯

Completely logical career path, obvs ☠️

Alongside finance, I started doing hair extensions.

Then I qualified in lashes, brows, nails… basically collecting qualifications like Pokémon 🤦🏽‍♀️

And out of EVERYTHING I’ve done, everything I’ve studied, every direction I thought my life was going in…

It was hair extensions that stuck.

Because it gave me something I didn’t even know I was looking for back then:

CHOICE.

The ability to decide what I wanted to earn.
The ability to build something around my life.
The ability to have more than one income stream.
And eventually, the freedom to create a career and a life that actually feels like mine.

It’s funny, because sometimes we look back and think we’ve taken the long way around.

But for some of us there never was a straight path.

Maybe every random decision, every change of direction and every “what the hell am I doing?” moment was just getting us closer to where we were supposed to be 🙌🏽

16-year-old me had absolutely no idea.

And tbh -

Some days, I still don’t, I’m the definition of winging life 🤣
