Sunset yesterday evening over the Aldi car park in Wilford.

From my front door to the Clifton Grove car park and back, walking in memory of Xena, raising £ for RSPCA. It was very emotional at times remembering her, younger, running along this route without a care in the world. Not sure on the mileage but took just over 2 hours

Later today I’m going to walk in her memory for the RSPCA I’m approaching 7 weeks post Xena and although I’m functioning I’m not doing it well. I’m lost without her. I always will. 14 & 3/4 years separate these 2 pics , her 1st and last. . Mummy loves you so much. X

Great to back at Binks Yard for lunch, 1st time since Xmas and the menu change that forced our group elsewhere as we all loved the pizzas, burgers and salads. Now 2 of those options are on the menu again, we are back and to make our lunches regular again. Just bring the pizzas back guys, even just the pepperoni, was the best in Nottingham.

Big shout out to Kara, this girl is amazing, really friendly and nothing is too much trouble so it was wonderful to see her smiley face again after all this time.

After nearly a year away (Xmas 2025)it was so nice to be back having lunch at Binks Yard now that they’ve brought back Caesar salads and a burger option onto their menu, their removal prompted our group to seek lunch elsewhere as they, along with the delicious pizzas, were our go to choices. The sharing menu was not for us and a lot of our friends over at Virgin Active so this return of much loved dishes will see us return regularly again whilst they stay on the menu. Just bring back the pizzas guys, they were the best, Pepperoni deserves a chefs kiss.

Special mention must be made to Kara, our server, who has been there for years and it was always a joy to see her on our regular visits. She’s a lovely person who we’ve all got to know so it was nice to catch up with her. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she always has a happy smiling face. Hope to see you again soon.

Lunch at the The Shamrock Social with the parents. I had sausage & mash(so so tasty), step dad had the fish/chips(lovely) and mum had the fishfinger wrap which was nice (not pictured) though she’d have preferred breadcrumbs instead of batter. Awesome lunchtime value, great staff, very helpful

Chicken Chasseur cooked from scratch , very tasty. Proper butter and pink rock salt in the mash. Another Xena boom moment. The tin I cooked the chicken in, without thinking, went onto the kitchen floor as a treat for her to lick out, which she loved. Then it hits, it’s still sat there. A great meal tinged with sadness.

My baby came home today,as upsetting as it was to collect her, it’s a relief to have her here, placed opposite our bed. Once more she’ll be the 1st and last thing I’ll see everyday. I miss your kisses and licks, our walks so much xx

The last 2 weeks have been probably the worst,emotionally, of my entire life losing my beautiful soulmate. While things are still raw, it felt good to do something normal and almost on the spur of the moment. Lunch with my gym buddy Mrs C at The Shamrock Social at Broadmarsh. My customary burger. Tasted amazing. And only £10 on the lunchtime offer. The Shamrock Social We’ll be returning without a doubt

Sadly, the love of my life and my bestest friend , left me today at 9am. She would’ve been 15 in October. Her system couldn’t cope with the cancer and digestive complaint she’d picked up at the weekend. I slept with her all last night as I’ve always done and was the last thing she saw at the end. Happened all so quickly, I feel numb and I’m sat here waiting to hear her scamper up the stairs and jump up onto the bed to remind me it’s biscuit time. I couldn’t have loved you more if I tried. We’re all heartbroken, your dad, granny & grandad and G who never made it in time to say goodbye himself but I kissed you for him too. I love you so much Xena you leave a massive hole in my heart but I hope you’re happier and pain free now, playing with your mate Lily and Tess. Love you always, Mummy # #
