Why I started Luxury Skincare Brands 🌿
Before LSB, I was a salon owner and therapist experiencing many of the same frustrations I know other professionals face.
Large opening orders filled with products that weren’t necessarily right for my clients.
Lots of attention before signing on the dotted line… then very little support afterwards.
And perhaps most frustratingly, seeing products discounted online for prices I sometimes couldn’t even buy them for professionally.
But there was something else bothering me too: ingredients.
As someone working with skincare several times a day, five days a week, I began questioning what repeated exposure to certain ingredients could mean for my own wellbeing, and, in turn, for my clients.
I became a little obsessed with formulations, started researching cleaner alternatives and eventually began importing the kind of clean, green, effective skincare I wanted to use in my own treatment room.
Then I thought: if I’m struggling with this, surely other therapists are too?
And that became the foundation of Luxury Skincare Brands.
Today, every brand we consider has to meet six principles:
