I was made redundant from a career I’d spent £30,000 getting a degree for, years building experience in, and eventually drove myself into burnout trying to give everything to large organisations — only to realise that, ultimately, I was still just another number.

And yet my first ever career was waiting for me all along… hair. ✂️

Coming back to it hasn’t been going backwards. I’ve brought everything I’ve learned about people, confidence, inclusion and business with me — and now I’m building something that’s actually mine.

Rebecca was already a much-loved part of the Empire family at our previous premises—and when it was time for us to sell, there was absolutely no chance we were leaving her behind. She’s far too talented and simply too good not to bring with us! 🥰
