Today the vinyl releases accompanying this years National Album Day have been announced on the official website, nationalalbumday.co.uk
This year is the ninth National Album Day which has been set up to remind us of the importance & beauty of the album as an artform.
Many artists give us the whole package as an immersive piece of art with a deliberately set out musical journey complemented by album art to dive into whilst listening & many have become household names thanks to this.
The day encourages us to take time to engage with an album in its entirety & has suggested themes each year from which to approach it from, this year being "Icons".

Picture special: Fans queue for hours for Record Store Day in Northampton

Happy Record Store Day!! Thank you for such a special and fun day. Cheers to all that queued up for so long, coming to watch our live bands & the support you showed us. Hope everyone had as much of a blast as us!

We are open again at 10:30am on Sunday 19th, so it’s worth popping in and checking what we’ve got left over !! Come in say hi and have a browse.

With less than a week to go until this year's Record Store Day we're hard at it at Spunout getting the stacks of exclusive releases ready for the big day on Saturday.
