🎀 October — Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

As a breast cancer survivor, October means so much more to me than just wearing pink. It’s a reminder of a journey that changed my life forever, and of just how important awareness truly is.

Breast cancer can affect any of us. It doesn’t discriminate, and sometimes life can change in the blink of an eye. I know firsthand how frightening that diagnosis can be, but I also know the importance of finding changes early and getting them checked.

Please, ladies — get to know your breasts. Check them regularly, know what is normal for you, and never be afraid or embarrassed to speak to your GP if something doesn’t feel or look right. A lump, change in shape or size, skin changes, ni**le changes or unusual discharge should always be checked.

And please remember, you are not wasting anyone’s time by getting checked. It is better to have something checked and be reassured than to ignore it.

October is also for remembering those who are no longer 🩷
