I mean what an opportunity tonight. To be at Scottish Parliament discussing all things Sharp standards for Microneedling with a lot of my Dermalogica friends in the industry. Thank you so much for the invitation Dermalogica UK Amazing to meet Lesley Blair Hollie Mills and lots of other ladies in the industry. What a room to be in and how phenomenal to be part of history being made in our industry moving towards safer practices and actively encouraging others to do the same.

What a night! So amazing to see so many phenomenal women in the industry all on the same mission... to make the industry safer. The sharps standards are wrote by dermalogica but they available for anyone who want to elevate their safety practices in microneedling. So many gorgeous beauty therapists both inside and out. Fun fact: The tie Im wearing is my Dads tie. It's the Irvine tartan. I thought what better way of bringing my family with me on the journey without actually bringing them with meGoing to parliament was definitely not something I thought I'd ever do but I'm so bloody proud of myself and honoured to be invited by Dermalogica to be an advocate for my industry.

This one is for every girl who was told "don't do beauty with the grades you've got, you could be so much more" or for every woman who dreamed they could do more and have been continuously overlooked or put down 🦋 Thank you so much to Dermalogica UK and all of my fellow Dermalogica friends for putting me forward for such a phenomenal opportunity in our industry. Sharp Standards is about raising awareness around the safe and responsible use of sharps within our industry, including the standards, training, education and professional practice that should sit behind treatments such as microneedling.

And I’m genuinely bloody proud to have been chosen to be part of that conversation.

I’ve always been incredibly passionate about education, continually developing my own knowledge and doing things properly. I don’t believe in cutting corners when it comes to treatments that involve sharps. The equipment we use, the training behind it, the way we work and the safety of our clients all matter.

The Dermalogica PRO Pen is FDA 510(k) cleared, which means the device has been reviewed by the US FDA and cleared for its intended use. It’s one example of the level of consideration that should go into the equipment and standards we use within our industry.

To now have the opportunity to take these conversations to Parliament alongside Dermalogica is pretty phenomenal.

I’ll be there listening, learning, contributing and, as always, doing my bit to push our industry forward. 🖤🦋
