What is the true purpose of a wedding?

At its heart, it’s two souls committing to each other—but it’s also so much more than that. It’s the rare, beautiful crossover of every single world you’ve ever built. It’s family, lifelong friends, beloved pets, big grand gestures, and the quiet, unsung details coming together under one roof. As I was documenting Jazz and Tristan’s beautiful day recently, that exact thought was running through my mind.

When I shoot a wedding, I’m not just aiming for pretty poses. I’m looking for the stills that tell the whole story: the movement, the overwhelming joy, the tears, the nervous deep breaths, and the tiny in-between moments you might miss in the blur of the day.

When your people look back at these stills, the goal is for them to pause and bring back the memory, the conversation, the gossip! It should be a memory you can point to and laugh about, or a moment where your guests say, “Yes! That was EXACTLY what it felt like to be there.”

Right at that intersection—where raw emotion meets a genuine memory—that’s when a photograph becomes worthy. That’s when it becomes timeless.
