(It’s a long one but please read)..

Hiii all, it's Alex 👋🏾
Sorry I haven't been checking in very often, but life is very busy & I've been soaking up all the moments of maternity leave that I can with my little girl. Firstly, I just want to thank you all for being so patient while I've been off work. I know I originally said I'd only be off for 3 months, but looking back I should never of given a timescale — she's my first baby, she was very long awaited & longed for & also I don't think you realise how quick time goes UNTIL you have a baby & 3 months just wasn't enough, but I'm nearly 6 months in now so I'll definitely be returning to work soon. I don't have a date yet, but I promise to keep you all updated whilst I get everything ready to come back over the next few weeks.

On that note, there's something else I've been putting off probably for over a year, but now we really need to put it into place..

As of the 17th June there will be a small price increase to our treatments. I've honestly tried to put this off as long as possible but in the last year & even more so in the last few months, our stock & overheads have MASSIVELY increased. Anyone who runs their own business no matter what industry, will tell you that they've also been in the same position since the costs of everything has massively increased. I don't like doing it, which is why this will only be our third price increase in over 10 years, but to keep running the salon the way you all love with the products you all love, we can't keep absorbing the costs.

Our new price lists will be available within the next week or so, so once they are available if anyone wants to check prices etc before appointments you can message us & we can send them over.

𝐖𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐍! Ten years of Belle Beautique 🤍

Ten years ago I opened the doors to the salon as a young girl 5 days before my 21st birthday, with hopes of making a successful business doing a job I love — & here we are, TEN years later, still surviving & thriving!

I might not be in work at the moment, but it doesn’t mean I’m not super grateful for all our amazing clients & to anyone who’s ever stepped foot through our door & supported us.

The salon was my first baby but the plan was to always build it up, get a reputation by working the long days & silly hours so that I would be able to take a step back when I had a family of my own. So grateful for Claire & all her hard work, especially now, allowing me to fully take a step back & spend precious time with my beautiful girl without worrying about the salon. You shed so many tears before I went off thinking you wouldn’t cope & look at you now, bossing it! (Don’t get too comfortable being called that mind 😝)

Here’s to 10 more years & LONGER.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!

So yesterday was my last "official" working day with bookings before baby arrives!

I have two weeks until my due date, so anything could happen at anytime, but all being well as it is & no sign of baby, I will be there next week, so you all haven't got rid of me just yet 😅

I obviously don't want to take any bookings too far in advance at this stage incase anything happens, so next week will just be a case of seeing how I feel, seeing what days/hours & can do & then probably advertising a day before to see if anyone wants an appointment with myself. Claire's appointments will still be advertised Monday as normal.

As it is now I'm still monitoring all social media but when the time comes Claire won't be monitoring the salon pages it'll just be me checking in as & when I can, so please if you need to contact her either message her privately or phone the salon on 01443 476387.

It's been an emotional week this week because it's not just a job, you're all my friends & I'll miss seeing you all everyday but I'm sure I'll be there all the time, even when I'm not working. Someone's got to keep Claire in check 🤭

I honestly appreciate it so much & it's lush to see how excited you all are to meet her too 🤍

We have two young girls booked in tomorrow for nails at 12pm under the name of NIA JAMES, due to us both having covid we’re unable to open the salon but I don’t have a contact number for them to let them know.

Please can anyone share this status or tag anyone that may be friends/family with anyone under this name please?! We do have a sign on the salon shutters to explain but they’re a first time client & I’ll feel terrible if they turn up expecting their appointment & we’re closed 😰 PLEASE SHARE!

Oh Baby, no fresh Christmas nails 🤭

A lot of you who I have on my person socials will of probably already seen our video by now, but for those who haven’t, we have a new little member of the Belle Beautique gang joining us in December 🕊️

Our journey to get here hasn’t been an easy one, so I’m hoping that will explain why I’ve been so absent with our social media & why I have dropped the ball a little when it comes to posting content while I tried to keep all the plates spinning at once.
