Some days you don't need to be more productive.
You don't need to catch up.
You don't need to sort one more bloody thing.
And you definitely don't need to feel guilty about sitting down. 😂
Sometimes the best part of the day is shutting the door, lighting something lovely and having half an hour where nobody needs anything from you.
That's the bit I make candles for. 💗
Anyone else running on low battery today? 😂
I don’t make candles because women need another pretty thing on a shelf.
I make them for this bit of the day.
When you’ve answered everyone, sorted everyone, remembered everything nobody else bloody remembered… and you’re DONE. 🤭
Door shut. Phone down. Candle on.
Half an hour that belongs to you.
That’s what I want an In The Air candle to feel like. 💗
Who else needs that half an hour today? 😂

I don't think I'm quite ready to let summer go yet 🥹💗
This morning was one of those mornings. Blue skies, warm sunshine, everything still green… and for a little while it didn't feel like autumn was coming at all.
And I bloody loved it. 😂
Don't get me wrong, I'm ready for cosy evenings, blankets and candles. But there's something about these last warm days that makes you want to hold onto them just a little bit longer.
That's exactly where The Last Warm Day came from. 💗
Soft, creamy green fig. Warm without feeling full-on autumn. Just that gorgeous little in-between.
For the woman who's ready to get cosy…
just not quite ready to say goodbye to summer. ☀️
The Last Warm Day is waiting for you — link in bio 💗
Tell me I'm not the only one still hanging onto summer? 😂
I’m not trying to build some massive candle empire 😂
I’m just a 47-year-old woman in my little corner, making candles and hoping the right women find me.
And every follow, comment, share and order makes me think… bloody hell, maybe this little thing of mine might actually work 🥹💗
So if you’ve been quietly watching, liking my posts, sharing them or spending your hard-earned money with me — I see you.
And I appreciate you more than you probably realise. 💗

There's something I don't think customers always realise about having a tiny business.
We notice you.
The woman who likes nearly every post.
The one who always answers my ridiculous polls.
The one who sends my candle to her friend and says “this is so you”.
The one who comments even though she's never bought anything.
I SEE YOU. 🩷
And no, you don't have to spend money with me for that support to matter.
Every like, comment, share and “you need to follow this woman” helps somebody new find this little business I've built from my garage.
And then this weekend three of you actually ordered.
Three.
That might not sound enormous in internet-land, but when you're the woman who makes the candle, sticks the label on, packs the box and does a little internal celebration when Shopify makes that noise...
three feels pretty bloody lovely.
So this isn't a sales post.
It's just me saying I notice you.
And thank you for being here. 🩷
I had one of those little moments today. 🥹🩷
Yesterday 2 orders came through and 3 of my candles were bought.
That might not sound like a massive number to some people, but when you're a small business and it's YOU making them, labelling them, packing them, taking the photos, posting on Instagram, worrying whether anyone is actually seeing any of it... every single order feels bloody special.
And then I read the messages people leave me.
Someone telling me my candles make their home feel cosy.
Someone coming back after buying from me at a Christmas market last year.
Someone telling me the scents actually bring them comfort.
That's the bit that gets me.
Because you could buy a candle absolutely anywhere.
But you chose one that I made with my own two hands, in my little workspace at home. Then it ends up burning in YOUR home, becoming part of your evenings, your quiet moments, your little bit of peace when life feels too bloody loud.
I don't think that will ever feel normal to me.
So whether you've bought one candle, come back for another, recommended me to someone, shared a post, left me a lovely message or you've just been quietly following along...
Thank you. Genuinely. 🩷
I notice it.
And it means more than you probably realise.
Now I'm going to stop being soppy before I bloody cry. 😂🩷
And if you've got an In The Air candle at home, tell me which one — I'd genuinely love to know. 👇

Some candles are for ambience.
This one's for when you've answered enough messages, done enough jobs and heard your name quite enough for one day. 😂
Coffee Break ☕
Creamy, warm and indulgent — basically the smell of making yourself a coffee, sitting your arse down and becoming temporarily unavailable.
No productivity.
No guilt.
Just five bloody minutes.

Who else needs one today? 😂☕
Turns out “I’ll just make candles” involves quite a lot more than making candles 😂
Making them. Photographing them. Website. Labels. Social media. Packing orders. And occasionally wondering what the hell I’m doing 😂
Still bloody love it though 🩷
I swear I spend more time making content about making candles than actually making the bloody candles 😂🕯️
