Today was one of those really emotional days as a mum. ❤️

I waved my middle boy off to Thailand today, with an open ticket and an adventure ahead of him. I couldn’t be more proud of the kind, loving and genuinely wonderful young man he has become.

I’m so excited for him and everything he’s about to experience, but my heart feels a little heavy too. I’m going to miss him more than he knows,  especially, when no matter how late it is, he always comes in to give his mum a 2am kiss on the head. 🥹❤️

There’s such a strange mixture of emotions when your children grow up. Part of you wants to keep them close forever, while another part knows you’ve raised them to go out into the world, live their lives and have their own adventures.

So although there were definitely tears today, underneath them I’m incredibly happy. Go and have the most amazing adventure. See everything, experience everything, make memories and enjoy every minute.

I love you to bits, and I’m ridiculously proud to be your mum. ❤️

I’m delighted to finally be registered with the NMC as an Independent Nurse Prescriber.

Another qualification, another chapter, and most importantly, another step towards providing my patients with safe, evidence-based and comprehensive care.
A lot of hard work went into this one, so today I’m allowing myself to feel very proud. ❤️

She has stood beside me through some of the hardest chapters of my life, never asking questions, never judging, just quietly reminding me to keep going.

Today has already been one of those days that reminds me exactly why I do what I do. 🤍
