🌿🌺 Wellbeing Day 🌺🌿

Today we had the beautiful Nicola from Tropic Skincare in, to share her extensive wealth of knowledge on skincare and the importance of using ‘clean’ ingredients 💚

She demonstrated a facial to us (it was stunning 😍) using all Tropic products which are naturally derived and free from all chemicals. 🌴

Our amazing students all got involved, carrying out a facial and a hand massage and enjoying some well earned self-care. 🥰

Nic - you were absolutely fabulous ! Thank you , we appreciate you coming and hosting such a wonderful day 🩷 we all loved it!

Today we had an early visit, from the Oasis Academy Oldham Easter Bunny! 🐰😂 (he can also do a decent blow dry 😉👌🏼)

Lots of amazing work being completed this week, and as always we are IMMENSELY proud of each and every one of our GLAM girls 🎀

The most incredible young people - I mean … can we just ! 👌🏼 The hard work, the creativity and the absolute sheer amazingness of them all 👩‍🎨🎭🎨🎃💀👻👱‍♀️🪮
This term was all about producing a Halloween theme of choice through research, an action plan, a mood board, practise and putting it altogether for their hair and beauty portfolio.
I think you’ll agree they absolutely aced it 👏🏼 as always we are so proud. 👩🏼‍🎓
English skills - written work - action plan, evaluation, grammar, punctuation, spelling ✍🏼
Maths - measuring materials, costing materials , budgeting 💵📏
Hairdressing - hair up skills including using heated equipment, blow drying, curling, pin curling, rollers 🎀
Make up - research and recreate to produce a mask to incorporate Halloween theme make up 👻💄
Nails - Halloween inspo nail art, polish , gel application. 💅🏼
Art - pumpkin painting !! Halloween masquerade mask 🎨👩‍🎨
Teamwork - positive relationships, support, working together and celebrating success 👏🏼

An absolutely brilliant last day for our Year 9’s who not only smashed the karaoke 🎤 but smashed their course, achieving a Distinction 🎓👏🏼🥳 Good luck for Year 10 !

Our truly outstanding Year 11s achieved a Level 2 Distinction - going on to secure Apprenticeships with an amazing college and placements in fab local salons 💆🏼‍♀️ we are so very proud of you all and it’s really been our pleasure 🥰
