At the heart of Skin&Kin, my purpose has always been really simple and that is to help skincare practitioners
To make running your business and being a practitioner feel fun and exciting again, to give you access to education but also a HUGEEEE one for me is to make sure no practitioner has to feel alone in the industry!
Our events are always such a strong reminder that weāre doing exactly that. I can be SO hard on myself (as we all can) and constantly thinking about what we could be doing better or whatās next, but then I look around a room like yesterdays, seeing so many amazing women meeting, learning, chatting, sharing ideas and supporting each other and itās just the most insane feeling and reminds me I am doing what I set out to do and making a difference for women in our industry!
In a world that feels increasingly filled with AI and loud social media being able to actually get in a room together, have real convos, give each other a hug and build genuine relationships is just priceless!!
A huge thank you to April April Parry | Social Media Coach & Marketing Agency for sharing so much of your knowledge with our community, youāre are an absolute bundle of knowledge and we loved having you š¤
My Mumsy for supporting my crazy ideas always, we donāt have a huge team tor anything planning and running the events and I genuinely couldnāt do it all without you!

An industry with less calling people out, pulling other practitioners down to lift yourself up, less gatekeeping and competition. And alotttt more bringing practitioners together, sharing knowledge, championing each other and actually wanting to see other women win!!

Let that sink in
Your mind is SO powerful
I was sat with my dad last night looking through his little book of quotes and this one stood out to me because I thought YESSSS exactly that!!!
I genuinely think most successful people are just ridiculously delusional and donāt doubt that they are going to succeed which then positively impacts their decisions and actions!
You have to go into things KNOWING theyāre going to work out. Maybe not exactly how you thought they would and probably not easily but you just donāt allow yourself to believe that it wonāt work!
No plan B, āwhat if it failsā or waiting for someone else to tell you itās a good idea. Just an almost unreasonable amount of belief that youāll figure it out somehow
Because whether you think you can, or you think you canātā¦ youāre right!!!š¤

Genuinely though I feel like Iāve seen so much recently about industry drama etc and Iām like whereeeee?š
Do you NEED a full routine of professional skincare??
If you can afford it and you want to invest in it, amazing! There are definitely perks like the fact your practitioner will be incredibly familiar with the products they work with every day, how they perform, how they work together and how to tailor them specifically to your skin!
BUT if a full professional routine is out of budget, or you simply donāt want to spend that much on every step, thatās absolutely fine too! Life is bloody expensive right now
There are some INCREDIBLE drugstore products out there, and so many Korean skincare brands that I absolutely love, adore and have used for yearsss!
But me personally and for a lot of my clients I love mixing the more affordable products with prescription skincare or professional lines like Obagi..
Iād rather you spend your money where itās going to make the biggest difference so your targeted actives and treatments. Then save where we can on things like cleansers, moisturisers and the more basic steps.
Your routine doesnāt have to be stupidly expensive from start to finish to be effective š¤š¼š¤
