I’ve been a supporter for the longest time.

It’s truly disgraceful, disappointing how this was shrugged off by replacing the styling by a Black Hairstylist like that was the issue.

The issue wasn’t just the stylist, it’s the tools used, the products, the technique. And the LACK of education around tight curls.

My suggestion would be to invite in for detailed understanding of Curls, coils and kinks. While owning the fact some products just don’t suit certain styling techniques and needs.

Gratitude is something we see thrown around a lot, especially on socials.

Gratitude is built from the small perspectives that are so powerful, such as breath, food, a roof over our head, our health.

We only realise that when things are taken from us. We take for granted things only when they are gone.

We only tell people we love them when they are gone.
We only have perspective of someone or something when it’s changed.

I love sharing, I love inspiring and I love connecting with people, as the boy that spent his life growing up suicidal. Those tendencies throughout my life change and adapt.

I’m vulnerable to show that two things can be true at once.
My failures turn into experiences
My wins turn into celebrations
My success isn’t about how much I have rather how I wake up and choose to live.

We all have battles, we all have scars.

Not everyone will understand who, why and what you do/are

Your people will and you always deserve to be and have happiness, health and wellness in every part of your life.

Back at the start of this year me and did some education and today I got the honour of cutting your hair 💎

I take intentional colouring and styling seriously when working on a tight curl, it allows you to plan and map out a whole hairstyle without even putting brush on foil.

This allows me to be creative and individual with the results while knowing I have the best results with the products used.

Your safe. I’ve got you. Be loud, proud and always be honest. You are loved, by me. I didn’t know how to take care of you for a long time but I’ve got you.

You’ll probably notice I’ve been pretty quiet on socials.

Truth is I’ve been struggling with staying positive with everything that’s going on in the world.

I’m in disbelief that we are in the current political climate.
I’m in shock I’m getting more verbal homophobia than I did in school.
I’m devastated that war is happening everywhere and we all keep turning blind eyes
I’m hurt that our planet is burning and no one seems to care.

I’m angry at the systems we do and don’t have in place.
Im frustrated that so many people can’t see how precious they are because of society’s pressures.

Truth is, I’m finding it hard to be a positive person with hope and influence of great things.

I’m searching for the small, quiet things, conversations, moments of joy and peace that are holding me along and the piano is something that brings that joy to me.

Since I was. Little boy music is and always has been my heart beat and it’s the one thing that keeps me going.

So I guess I’m just sharing to hopefully make you smile just a little bit with this moment.
