✨ Microneedling for Active Acne ✨

One of the biggest misconceptions about microneedling is that it’s only suitable for acne scarring.

Acne is an inflammatory skin condition, not a transferable bacterial infection. The bacteria associated with acne naturally exists on our skin, it’s the overgrowth of this bacteria, alongside inflammation and your skin’s immune response, that contributes to breakouts.

For suitable clients, microneedling can be an incredibly effective treatment for active acne.
By stimulating the skin’s natural healing response, it can help regulate oil production, support collagen production, reduce inflammation, and improve the appearance of post-inflammatory erythema (PIE) and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) left behind after breakouts.

These photos show the progress of one of our clients following a consistent skincare routine and regular microneedling treatments. Resulting in less redness, calmer skin, fewer breakouts, and a noticeable improvement in overall skin health, texture and tone. ✨
