🤎 Thinking about going darker after years of blonde?

There’s something so gorgeous about going darker as we head into the winter months. I personally love the way the softer winter light catches warmer brunette tones and creates those beautiful, rich reflections through the hair.

But if your hair has been blonde for a long time, there are a few things worth knowing before making the change.

When hair has been heavily lightened or bleached, it can be more porous, which means darker colour can fade differently and sometimes faster than it would on natural hair. Your brunette may gradually become lighter or warmer, particularly through the more blonde areas.

That doesn’t mean you can’t achieve a beautiful brunette , it just means the colour needs to be chosen with your existing hair in mind.

I also love keeping some lighter pieces through a brunette rather than making it completely solid. It gives the hair movement and catches the light beautifully, especially with those warmer chocolate, caramel and golden tones. 🤎
