We started Kyo’s with a simple vision : To create a Matcha brand that people could truly feel.

This weekend felt like another step towards that and believe us when we say this is only the beginning.

Seeing Kyo’s come to life like this and watching so many of you show up, try our matcha, meet the team and experience what we’ve been building was pretty surreal.

What started as an idea has slowly become something so much bigger and today made that feel very real.

We visited the man behind the pours at one of Manchester’s most artistic cafés.

If there’s one thing you can’t fake, it’s passion, and Kasper has it in abundance. His attention to detail, care for his craft and intention behind every pour is infectious.

It reminds us of the craftsmanship behind our matcha itself: from the farmers who carefully grow and harvest each leaf, to the final pour in your cup. Every step matters.

Kasper brings that same philosophy to every drink he serves.

It starts on these hills in Wazuka, Kyoto.

With generations of farmers dedicating their lives to the craft of growing exceptional matcha, caring for every harvest with patience, precision and deep respect for the land…

Every cup of Kyo’s carries a little piece of this place with it.

This is why we do what we do. Not just to bring great matcha, but to honour the culture, craftsmanship and people that make it possible in the first place 💚

So we hosted our very first Matcha Workshop this weekend, and it reminded us why we started Kyo’s in the first place 🤍

From day one, our mission has never just been to sell matcha. It’s been to share the culture, history and traditions that make it so special…

Being able to bring a small piece of Japan to the UK, not just through our products but through real experiences and conversations, is something we’re incredibly grateful for!

For an hour we slowed down and learnt about matcha’s origins, discovered the tools used in the tea ceremony, and shared bowls of our 1st Harvest Organic Okumidori Matcha together.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it so special. We hope you left with a deeper appreciation for the centuries of craftsmanship and culture behind every bowl!
