Burnout is real. And no one really talks about it.
Running a business isn’t just about the highlight reels you see on social media.
Behind the scenes, it’s early mornings, late nights, managing a team, looking after clients, dealing with suppliers, making difficult decisions, creating content, answering messages, and constantly trying to grow. It’s a job that doesn’t really switch off.
I’ll be honest… over the last few months, I’ve felt burnt out.
That’s exactly why I’ve taken a bit of time away. No work. Less phone time. More time with family, travelling, switching off and doing the things that help me recharge.
I’ve learnt that taking a break isn’t being lazy it’s an investment in yourself. You can’t pour from an empty cup.
As much as I love SMP and everything we’re building at Elixir, I’ve realised that to continue giving 100% to my clients and my team, I first need to look after myself.
So if you’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately, don’t feel guilty about taking some time out. Rest, reset, recharge… and come back stronger.
