DAY 31/75 💚 | HELLO OCTOBER 🍂
1st of the month - and we're starting GREEN.
After yesterday’s track session, today was about moving on rather than dwelling on it.
💪🏾 Upper body worked
🥗 Food on point
🎬 Learnt some new editing skills
📹 And I’ve started working on the exercise videos for my YouTube channel, which will also feature in my next rehab guide… coming soon! 👀
So a productive day without hammering the legs.
Tonight’s challenge is getting myself to bed EARLY because tomorrow morning it’s straight back to business with an early HYROX session. 🔥
New month. Fresh page. Yesterday is done.
October… let’s see what you've got!
31 days down. 44 to go.

DAY 30/75 🟠🔴
Well… that was definitely not the way I planned to finish September! 😩
This morning’s track session was easily the worst one of my HYROX training so far. I just didn’t have the capability today and those 1km reps felt a very long way.
I could have completely aborted the session, but instead I adjusted it, did what I could and made sure I left the track with something positive rather than forcing a session that clearly wasn’t happening.
Also gave the new Hokas a test run. I do love Hoka, but I think I’ll be sticking with my New Balance for the actual competition.
Definitely an amber/red day, but that’s part of the whole point of 75 Medium. Not every day will be green and not every training session will be a good one. No restarting. Just keep going.
So that's September done.
30 days down. 45 to go.
October… please be good to me. The clock is ticking!
Consistency over perfection.

DAY 29/75 💚 | 75 MEDIUM
More of a HYROX recovery day today, but there was still plenty going on: clients, bowls and lots of general movement.
And a little milestone… I WON MY FIRST EVER SINGLES BOWLS GAME! 🥳🙌🏾
Maybe all this practice is actually paying off!
It also feels particularly good when new clients come through the door because someone has recommended me. That trust means a lot.
Kept the fuelling simple and solid today too:
🍳 Scrambled eggs, spinach & feta
🍗 Chicken, potatoes & veg
🌶️ Turkey mince chilli
💧 2 litres of hydration
Recovery was the plan, and with a busy day around it, that was enough.

DAY 28/75 💚 | Happy Monday!
A great strength session this morning and, importantly, I made sure I didn't skip the prehab.
It’s very easy when you’re feeling good to concentrate on the big lifts and the more exciting stuff, but those extra 10 minutes of TKEs, calf work, step-downs, hip strengthening and ankle mobility are there for a reason!
Prehab isn't an optional extra, it's part of the training.
I'm also properly back on track with my nutrition after travelling. Nothing complicated: simple recipes, batch cooking and food I enjoy eating. Today's prep: turkey chilli, rice and veg.

A good start to the week. Now the challenge is to keep stacking them!

DAY 27/75 💚 | 75 MEDIUM
Sunday started with the long run.
A solid hour of aerobic work in the legs and another step forward with the HYROX endurance work.
Then it was off to bowling practice… which somehow became rather competitive! Going into the final bowl we needed it to save the game - and we got the draw! 🙌🏾
Run done ✔️

Another green day ✔️
A new week starts tomorrow and I'm hoping to keep as much of it green as possible. No expectation of perfection - just keep stacking those good days.

Day 26/75 💚 | A (dog) walk in the park!
A full clinic this morning, then some much-needed fresh air and a walk in the park with Otis. 🐾
Nothing strenuous today, just getting the body moving, mobilising the legs and shaking off the last of the week’s stiffness in preparation for tomorrow’s long run.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for your training is not train harder.

Gentle movement ✔️
Active recovery ✔️
Happy dog ✔️
Long run tomorrow… then we’ll see how happy I am! 😅
Day 26 done. 💚

Day 25/75 | Happy Friday!
Back to the clinic. Back to reality… and I think my body is finally starting to remember what time zone it lives in!
After a decent strength/HYROX session yesterday, today was deliberately much gentler. A mobility session, some daily movement, plenty of hydration and continuing to get my nutrition back on track.
Another green day in the bank. 💚
Consistency over perfection.

Day 24/75 – 75 Medium
Back to work today, but easing myself back into normal life after the jet lag!
Managed a quality strength session, then finished with a few short HYROX conditioning rounds:
500m SkiErg → 500m Row → 20m Farmers Carry → 20m Walking Lunges 🔥
I definitely underestimated how much the travelling would take out of me though… an afternoon power nap was very necessary!
Then finished the day with a home visit pregnancy massage
Not every day needs to be all guns blazing. Today was about getting some good-quality work done, listening to my body and getting back into the routine.
Another green day. 💚
Consistency over perfection.

DAY 23/75 🟠
Jet lag is still very much jet lagging! 😴
I was just about able to drag myself out of bed today, and most of the energy I had went into playing bowls.
No proper training today. No forcing it just for the sake of ticking a box. I got outside, moved, played and listened to what my body needed after travelling.
And with the bowls season almost over, I wasn’t missing one of the last few opportunities to get on the green.
Definitely an amber day - and that’s exactly why I built amber days into 75 Medium.
Consistency over perfection. Tomorrow we go again.

Day 22/75 ✈️😴
What can I say about today?
After a 13-hour door-to-door journey home, I can sum it up in two words...
JET. LAG. 🥴
No training heroics. No trying to make up for anything. I'm home, considering unpacking, but just giving my body a chance to work out what time zone it’s in! 😂
Tomorrow’s another day.
