A deviated nose can be more than an aesthetic concern. Sometimes, the deviation continues internally too.
This patient is now 1 year and 4 months post septo-rhinoplasty, following surgery to address both the visible nasal deviation and her deviated septum.
The frontal before-and-after photographs are particularly important in this case.
Before surgery, the nose visibly deviated away from the facial midline. However, correcting nasal deviation isn’t simply about creating a straighter appearance externally.
During septo-rhinoplasty, Dr Hamadeh can address the external nasal structure alongside the septum, the internal wall that separates the two nasal passages. A deviated septum can also affect nasal airflow and breathing.
At 16 months post-op, we are able to assess this patient’s result well beyond the early stages of recovery. The frontal view demonstrates improved nasal alignment, with a straighter appearance through the bridge and tip, while the additional views allow the result to be assessed from different perspectives.
For patients researching deviated septum surgery, septoplasty or septo-rhinoplasty in London, there is an important distinction between these procedures. Septoplasty addresses the septum, whereas septo-rhinoplasty can address both internal septal concerns and the external structure of the nose. The appropriate approach depends on each patient’s anatomy, symptoms and surgical goals.
Swipe through to compare this patient’s septo-rhinoplasty before and after photographs at 16 months.
With nasal deviation, what we see externally can be only part of the picture.

Seven months after rhinoplasty. The dramatic part of recovery may be over, but the nose hasn’t stopped changing.
Most people researching rhinoplasty recovery know about the first few weeks: the cast, swelling, bruising and the excitement of seeing the nose for the first time.
What gets discussed less is what happens afterwards.
By seven months, patients are usually well beyond the visible signs of surgery, yet subtle changes can still be taking place beneath the surface. Residual swelling continues to settle, definition can become clearer and the tissues gradually mature.
This patient’s rhinoplasty before and after photographs show her progress at seven months post-op. The changes are well established, but there is still more healing ahead.
It’s an important perspective for anyone comparing rhinoplasty results online.
The biggest change happens in surgery. Some of the most subtle changes happen in the months that follow.

In Part 1, she shared why she chose Dr Nizar Hamadeh and how she felt about her nose just six weeks into recovery. Now, she takes us through the part of the experience she was most nervous about: surgery day and having a general anaesthetic for the first time.
She talks openly about her pre-surgery nerves, the reassurance she received from the surgical team and how supported she felt throughout the day.
She also shares what the first few days after rhinoplasty were like for her, including swelling, bruising and congestion, as well as the ongoing support she has received from our aftercare nurse, Jazzmeen.
Every patient’s surgical experience and recovery is individual. At six weeks, swelling remains expected, particularly around the nasal tip, and the nose will continue to change as the tissues heal and swelling gradually settles.
Thank you for sharing your experience so openly. Our team will continue to be here to support you throughout your healing, and we look forward to seeing you at your aftercare appointments.
If you haven’t watched Part 1 yet, head to our previous Reel to hear how her rhinoplasty journey began.

Being able to understand what a patient hopes to achieve, while also providing an honest and realistic medical perspective, is an important part of every consultation I have.
Thank you for recognising this in your feedback. I want my patients to feel listened to, but equally to understand what can realistically and safely be achieved through septorhinoplasty. Those conversations are an essential part of making an informed decision about surgery.
I am also very pleased to hear how supported you have felt throughout your journey. Jazzmeen (Nurse Jazzmeen ) will be particularly touched to be described as an “absolute pillar of support”. Her reassurance, communication and continuity of care are such an important part of the experience we aim to provide.
Thank you for placing your trust in me and my team. We are grateful to be part of your journey and look forward to continuing to support you throughout your healing and aftercare.

A rhinoplasty isn’t planned from one angle. So why judge the result from one?
The side profile often gets the most attention in rhinoplasty before and after photographs, but it only tells part of the story.
During rhinoplasty planning, the nose is assessed from the front, profile and three-quarter views because a change that works beautifully from one direction also needs to make sense from another.
That is why we include multiple angles when sharing patient results.
This patient is two months post rhinoplasty, and her carousel gives us an early look at those different perspectives. At this stage, swelling is still present, particularly around areas that can take longer to settle, and the appearance will continue to evolve throughout the healing process.
If you’re researching rhinoplasty in London, don’t just swipe straight to the profile.
Look at every angle. That’s where the full story is.

At only two weeks post-op, this is very much the beginning of the healing journey, so receiving feedback like this at such an early stage means a great deal to me.
Listening carefully to what each patient wants is fundamental to my approach. In this case, the goal was subtle, natural change while preserving the patient’s individual features. Although swelling is still very much expected at two weeks and the nose will continue to change and refine considerably over the coming months, I am pleased to hear that you already feel we understood your vision.
I also understand how much reassurance matters when undergoing surgery for the first time, particularly when there are additional medical considerations to take into account. Patient safety, appropriate planning and clear communication remain central throughout every stage of care.
Thank you for placing your trust in me and my team. Jazzmeen Nurse Jazzmeen will be particularly touched by your kind words about the support and reassurance she provided during these first weeks of recovery. We look forward to seeing you at your aftercare appointments and supporting you as your healing continues.

Same patient. Same nose. 13 months of healing between these two photographs.
This is why we keep saying that rhinoplasty results need time.
This patient is now 18 months post rhinoplasty, but we’ve included photographs from her 5-month follow-up in this carousel too.
And that comparison matters.
At five months, much of the early swelling had already subsided and the changes from surgery were clearly visible. It would have been very easy to look at those photographs and assume that was essentially the result.
Then compare them with 18 months.
The continued settling and refinement demonstrate why rhinoplasty recovery isn’t measured in weeks or even just a few months. The nose can continue to mature long after patients have returned to normal life and stopped thinking about recovery every day.
If you’re researching rhinoplasty before and after results, pay attention to when the photographs were taken. A beautiful five-month result and an 18-month result are not necessarily the same stage of the story.
Swipe through to compare her before, 5-month and 18-month photographs.
This is what we mean when we say: give your nose time.

📸 Patient Photos
Six weeks after rhinoplasty. Would you expect the nose to have finished changing? Not even close.
This is one of the most important things to understand when looking at rhinoplasty before and after photographs online.
At six weeks post-op, this patient is still at a very early stage of her rhinoplasty recovery. The initial post-surgical swelling has reduced considerably, allowing some of the changes made during surgery to become visible, but residual swelling remains and the nose will continue to evolve over the months ahead.
The tip, in particular, can be one of the slower areas to settle.
So when you’re researching rhinoplasty in London and see an early result like this, don’t compare it with somebody else’s photograph taken at six months, one year or beyond. They’re completely different stages of the healing process.
Swipe through to see this patient’s before and six-week post-op photographs from different angles.
Save this for your rhinoplasty recovery timeline: six weeks is progress, not the destination.

Thank you for taking the time to share such generous and considered feedback. Reading that your result feels natural and, importantly, still entirely you is particularly meaningful to me.
My approach to septorhinoplasty is always to consider the face and nose as a whole, alongside breathing function, individual anatomy and what the patient hopes to achieve. It is never about creating the same nose for every patient. Preserving individuality while achieving balance, refinement and functional improvement remains central to my surgical philosophy.
I am especially pleased to hear that your breathing has improved significantly and that your experience, from our initial discussions through surgery and ongoing aftercare, left you feeling informed, reassured and supported.
Thank you also for recognising the people involved in your care. Jazzmeen (Nurse Jazzmeen), Elizabeth and Manuela work incredibly hard to support our patients throughout their journey, and I know your words will mean a great deal to them. I am equally grateful to the team at Cadogan Clinic, including the nursing and anaesthetic teams, for the care they provided on the day of your surgery.
Thank you for placing your trust in me and my team. It has been a privilege to care for you, and we look forward to continuing to support you throughout your healing and follow-up appointments. 🤍
