The beauty of this technique is that when you apply the product correctly inside the dual form, you already have a beautiful and structurally correct nail. The apex, sidewalls, and overall shape are practically done for you.

That means the finishing work is minimal — all you really need to focus on is perfecting the free edge and cleaning up the bottom lines.

And as you can see, it doesn’t take much time at all. ⏱️

👉🏻 I do not cut these forms to follow the cuticle curve, instead I apply a thin but covering layer of the same milky white gel , so there will be no visible gap after the forms are removed 👌
✅ also this layer gives you a protection from overfilling natural nail , incase if you had some product overflow in this area

OVERFLOW? DON’T CURE YET 👀

If you have product squeezing out underneath the dual form, don’t worry — this is easy to clean while the gel is still uncured.

1. Brush away the excess
Use your gel brush to remove most of the overflow.

2. Clean with a wooden stick
Go around the skin and underneath the free edge to remove the remaining product.

3. Get into the details
Make sure the inside and sidewalls are clean before curing.

4. THEN cure ✨
I prefer cleaning everything while the product is still uncured — it saves so much filing later!

Less filing = cleaner application + more control 🤍

How to improve your work speed? - WORK SMART !

👉🏻 if there’s not much to file , use regular file to shape the nail
👉🏻 if there’s quite a lot of product that have to be removed- start with drill bit to speed up the process and then finish off with regular file
👉🏻 if using drill bit , do not rush to change it- think: what else can I do with this bit ? ( I like to file underneath the nail with same bit ,and only after I would switch to the skinny bit to thin out the free edge and come closer to the skin)
