Not every skin lesion responds to the first treatment, and that’s exactly why choosing the right technique matters.

This client had a raised seborrhoeic keratosis on her shoulder that she wanted removed.

Before coming to see me, she had done exactly what I would recommend. She visited a dermatologist, who carefully examined the lesion and confirmed that it was completely benign. The dermatologist then attempted to remove it using cryotherapy. After paying a couple of hundred pounds for the treatment, unfortunately there was no improvement and the lesion remained unchanged.

When she visited me in my London clinic, she asked if I could help.

Using advanced diathermy, I carefully treated the lesion and gently lifted it away from the skin.

As you can see from these before and after photographs, the result speaks for itself. Healthy, beautiful skin tissue was revealed underneath, with an excellent cosmetic outcome.

One aspect of my work that I take enormous pride in is removing benign skin lesions with the least possible tissue trauma, aiming for beautiful healing and little to no visible scarring wherever clinically appropriate.

Seeing results like this never gets old, especially when someone has been living with a lesion that previous treatment couldn’t resolve.
