Protection first.

Our first responsibility is to protect your natural teeth for the long term and educate you from the outset about the preventive treatments available. The ultimate success in dentistry is maintaining a healthy mouth for as long as possible without needing restorative treatment at all.

Fissure sealants are one of the earliest steps in achieving this. Ideally placed on appropriate teeth soon after eruption, they seal the vulnerable pits and grooves where plaque and bacteria can accumulate and where occlusal decay commonly begins.

It sounds simple. Done properly, it is incredibly technique sensitive.

For us, two details are particularly important. The fissures must be meticulously cleaned and prepared before sealing. Then, once the sealant is placed, the bite must be checked carefully so that the patient leaves completely comfortable.

Get those details right, maintain and review the sealant over time, and something remarkably simple can provide years of protection against occlusal decay.

Advanced dentistry is amazing and wonderful. But the best dentistry is still the dentistry you never needed. Let’s try together to keep it at that.

When a child suffers a traumatic dental injury, every minute matters.

Quick action can be the difference between saving a tooth and losing it. It means controlling the injury, protecting the tooth, preventing further damage, and getting the child into the right clinical environment as soon as possible. Most importantly, it gives us the best possible chance of returning everything back to exactly how it was before the accident.

This young patient arrived just one hour after the injury, with the fractured piece of tooth carefully stored in milk. That simple decision made all the difference. We were able to bond the patient’s own natural tooth fragment back into place, preserving its original shape, colour, and anatomy.

Cases like this remind us that nature is still the best material we have. With careful treatment and ongoing monitoring of the root and surrounding tissues, there is every possibility that this tooth will serve the patient for many years to come. Our hope is that, in time, it will be as though the accident never happened.

👈🏼 Lateral Veneers 👉🏼

Sometimes, small lateral incisors are simply genetic. This is known as a tooth size anomaly. In these cases, the goal is not to make the teeth look bigger. It is to restore ideal proportions and harmony within the smile.

After careful planning, we create the ideal space, often with a small amount of orthodontic treatment if required. We then restore the teeth using ultra conservative ceramic veneers. In this case, each veneer is just 0.3 mm thick, preserving almost all of the natural tooth structure while creating the ideal width and shape.

Once bonded, these restorations become incredibly strong, exceptionally durable, and blend seamlessly with the neighbouring natural teeth. The result should never look like veneers. It should simply look like nature got it right the first time.

We always recommend teeth whitening before treatment begins. This allows us to establish the ideal shade for the entire smile first, so every ceramic restoration can then be matched perfectly to achieve the most natural and harmonious result.
