I visited the Ukrainian-owned salon in Kuala Lumpur & had a great experience! Dena, if you see this, my deepest apologies for the deception 😅 I find that when I visit other salons, telling them that I’m also a nail technician can create a weird atmosphere…

SIDE NOTE: I am trained in offering Russian manicures, however I don’t always feel it’s necessary. This was my first time experiencing having it done on myself.

To my Nail Tech friends, how do you navigate getting your nails done by another Nail Tech?? & how do you handle making suggestions without coming across as a know-it-all & making your tech feel undermined? 😂😅

The nail tech who doesn’t trust anyone else to do her nails finally exhaled & bit the bullet in Malaysia! Dena, if you see this, forgive the deception 😅 I learned a while ago that announcing i’m a nail tech in a nail salon can create a weird vibe or pressure.

This post is not exactly nail related, it’s nail tech focused.
I’ve felt a bit lost & out of control of my life recently… I didn’t tell a soul & this doesn’t leave this post, but would u believe that I considered quitting the nail industry back in April/May? Solely because right now, I have no idea what the next step to growing FNGRD will be.

But as you know, i’m still here, pushing through the feelings of doubt. I felt like with being so far away from home for a significant amount of time, this trip was the perfect opportunity to start putting small changes in place that can become habits & help me to become a better version of myself. For myself and for you! 💕
