What is a sports massage?

The process of the massage enables both the muscle tissue and the connective tissue to relax, reducing pain and muscular tension. Sports massage is reported to have many beneficial effects in athletes. It can be used pre-performance, post-performance, during training, or for rehabilitation. From elite athletes to recreational exercisers. Many different movements and techniques are used in sports massage and these movements and techniques are used to try to help the athlete's body achieve maximum performance and physical conditioning with a decreased chance of injury or pain and a quicker recovery.

Just wanted to say a big thankyou for all the love and support since announcing my new venture it means a lot and to anyone new, here’s abit about me and my background….

I studied at SLP College of Performing Arts just outside of Leeds where l gained a Level 6 Trinity National Diploma in professional dance aswell as training in various dance styles we were also taught anatomy of the human body and how to prevent and look after injuries as we were putting alot of physical strain on our bodies day in and day out whilst training. All of this has given me a head start in my move as a sports massage therapist and I’m excited for what’s to come.
