As part of Skin Care Awareness Month, I’ve been encouraging you to look at your skin a little differently.
We talk a lot about what we put ON our skin - and rightly so. Great skincare and advanced treatments can make a significant difference.
But after 25+ years of working with skin, I’ve become increasingly interested in the person behind the skin.
Because our skin doesn’t exist in isolation.
Stress and the body’s response to it can influence processes involved in inflammation, barrier function, oil production and recovery.
That doesn’t mean stress is responsible for every breakout, sensitive skin episode or sign of ageing.
It simply means that sometimes, what’s happening internally can show up externally.

🧬 PDRN: The “Salmon S***m Facial” everyone is talking about… but what actually is it?
Firstly… no, we are NOT putting salmon s***m on your face! 😂
PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a purified and sterilised complex of DNA fragments derived from salmon trout, designed to support the skin’s own natural repair and regeneration processes.
And although it might feel like the latest skincare trend, PDRN has actually been used in wound healing for over 30 years.
✨ So why are we interested in it for skin?
