Do you ever wonder what the latest trends and innovations are in medical aesthetics?
The other day, I went to The Clinical Cosmetic Regenerative Congress to check in on trends, treatments and the latest solutions.
Here are my takeouts
👉🏻 Micro-needling is one of the most talked about treatments, especially when combined with exosomes. I can honestly say that Korean beauty is not only taking over in retail brands but also infiltrating the professional market. Microneedling is also being adopted by consumers, taking it a step up from dermarollers and dermastamps to devices like Dr. Pen.
👉🏻 Exosomes are a key treatment in hair regeneration through topical usage and microneedling.
The exosome trend continues to rise, and exosomes are used in combination therapies together with PRP, PRF and hair filler.
👉🏻 Laser treatments for skin rejuvenation and overall body applications continue to attract attention. Especially as dermal fillers are slowly falling out of favour with consumers, there is more focus on facial rejuvenation with lasers, biostimulators and Botox, which is validated by the content you can see on social media.
At Aleksandra Skobel | North London Aesthetic & Laser we bring our clients the latest innovations and solutions that help you feel and look fresh, never done.
PRP 👉🏻 PRF 👉🏻 Hair filler 👉🏻 Mesotherapy 👉🏻 you name it. For after childbirth 👉🏻 perimenopause 👉🏻 menopause or general hair health. We’ve got you

I tried the ‘revolutionary’ under eye cream for £1000 at the medical aesthetics trade show, but the reality is that after 35 the only successful treatment to get rid of under eye bags and creepiness is mesotherapy and PDRN, the solution that you might know as salmon s***m.
Dry, crepey or puffy under-eyes? Understanding the cause is the first step towards fresher-looking skin.
At Embassy of Glam, we believe the best results start with the right advice. PDRN, short for polydeoxyribonucleotide, contains purified DNA fragments and is being studied for its role in tissue repair and skin recovery. It’s often discussed alongside polynucleotides (PN), although these are different formulations and their evidence isn’t interchangeable.
For under-eye rejuvenation, small studies of injectable PN suggest improvements in hydration, elasticity and skin texture. These changes may help soften the appearance of fine lines and crepey skin, but results vary from person to person.
How do microneedling and mesotherapy fit in?
• Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to stimulate the skin’s natural repair response. PDRN may be used alongside it, but evidence for this combination specifically under the eyes remains limited.
• Mesotherapy uses small injections to deliver a suitable formulation into the skin. The product, technique and practitioner’s experience all matter, especially around the delicate eye area.
And what about puffiness?
PDRN is not a proven treatment for under-eye bags. Puffiness can be caused by fluid retention, allergies or prominent fat pads, which may require different approaches. Treatments can also cause temporary swelling, bruising and small injection bumps.
The aim is gradual improvement in skin quality, with a treatment plan tailored to your concerns, skin and goals.

“When should I start Botox?”
There isn’t a birthday when your face suddenly needs treatment.
Not at 25. Not at 35. Not at 50.
And choosing never to have it is equally valid.
The decision should come from your concerns, your health and a proper assessment, not the age your friend started or a video telling you you’re behind.
1. Understand the lines you’re noticing.
Some lines appear when you smile, frown or raise your eyebrows. Others remain visible when your face is relaxed.
Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces movement in selected muscles, which can soften certain expression lines. It doesn’t address every cause of wrinkles, replace lost facial volume or stop skin ageing.
A line becoming visible at rest isn’t an automatic signal to start treatment.
1. Be cautious with “start early” advice.
“Preventative Botox” can make treatment sound like something everyone should begin before they have a concern.
There is no universal starting age. Reducing repeated muscle movement does not mean every young adult needs years of preventative treatment.
You haven’t missed a deadline by waiting.
1. Know what you want to change.
Can you describe a specific concern and a realistic outcome? Or are you feeling pressure to have smooth skin?
Normal facial movement and skin texture are not flaws.
A good consultation should explain your options without giving you new insecurities.
1. Understand the commitment and risks.
Results are temporary. Maintaining them means repeat appointments and ongoing costs.
Possible side effects include bruising, headache, asymmetry and temporary eyelid or brow drooping.
Your medical history, medicines and pregnancy or breastfeeding status matter when assessing suitability.
1. Keep the basics in place.
Daily broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, moisturiser and avoiding tanning remain worthwhile whether you choose a procedure or not.
Seek advice when you want individual information. A consultation should leave you informed and free to decide, including deciding to do nothing.
Save this for when the “am I too early or too late?” question comes up.

A smaller ponytail. More hair in the shower. A parting that seems wider.
If those comments felt familiar, you deserve to have your concerns taken seriously.
You may have heard of PRP, PRF, mesotherapy and exosomes for hair loss. But what are they—and how do they differ?
👉🏻 PRP | Platelet-rich plasma
A small sample of your blood is processed to concentrate the platelets, then injected into your scalp. Platelets release growth factors involved in repair. Studies suggest PRP can improve hair density in some people with pattern hair loss, but results vary and repeat sessions are usually needed.
👉🏻 PRF | Platelet-rich fibrin
Also made from your blood, PRF forms a fibrin network that can release growth factors gradually. Early research is promising, but the evidence is less established than for PRP. It isn’t automatically the better option.
👉🏻 MESOTHERAPY
This describes a technique: small injections into the scalp. The ingredients vary between products, so “mesotherapy” isn’t one standard treatment. Evidence and risks depend on exactly what is used not simply on delivering it to the scalp.
👉🏻 EXOSOMES
Tiny particles released by cells that carry signals between them. Researchers are exploring their potential for hair growth, but treatments remain experimental. Products differ, and long-term safety and effectiveness are not yet established.
The most important step? Understanding why your hair is thinning.
Postpartum shedding often improves naturally. Hair loss around menopause can have several contributors. These treatments are not interchangeable, and none is a guaranteed fix.
An assessment should come before a treatment package. Sometimes the right next step is a GP or dermatologist review. Pregnancy or breastfeeding also changes what may be suitable.

Thinning hair doesn’t have to be permanent and it doesn’t require invasive surgery.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy harnesses your body’s naturally occurring growth factors to reverse follicle miniaturisation, restore hair density, and stimulate new growth at a cellular level.
Whether you are dealing with male pattern thinning, postpartum hair loss, or age-related density loss, our tailored PRP treatments offer a clinically proven, non-surgical solution.

🙋🏼♂️Are you suffering from visible hair loss?
Samantha might actually be onto something… 👀
We tend to think of Botox as the thing you get when you want fewer wrinkles.
But that’s only one piece of the story.
Botulinum toxin works by temporarily reducing muscle activity, which means its applications can go far beyond lines and wrinkles. Depending on the treatment area and the individual, it can be used for things such as:
→ reducing the appearance of dynamic lines
→managing excessive sweating
→ helping with jaw clenching and teeth grinding
→ treating certain types of chronic migraine
→ managing conditions such as blepharospasm
→ addressing specific facial muscle imbalances
→ creating more balanced facial movement and proportions
And this is where the injector matters.
Good results aren’t simply about how much product is used. They’re about understanding facial anatomy, muscle movement and, most importantly, knowing where NOT to inject.
The goal shouldn’t be to make your face look frozen.
It should be to make thoughtful changes that still look like you.
So perhaps Samantha was onto something after all… 😏
Would you consider Botox for something other than wrinkles?
