I would love to hear your thoughts on this!

Because when it comes to skincare, there’s a huge difference between a brand making incredible claims and investing in the scientific research to investigate whether those claims are actually supported!

For me, it’s not just about what a product claims to do. It’s about the evidence behind those claims and, importantly, whether the finished formulation has actually been tested!

And this level of research is incredibly expensive, so I love seeing brands investing in it!

Now, the two skincare brands I mentioned in the reel are…

No7 and The Skin Diary!

Both have invested in research involving human skin biopsies at the University of Manchester, investigating biological changes within the skin to help substantiate the claims they’re making about their products!

And I have to say, I’m fascinated by the science behind it all!

But here’s what I’d really love to know…

Does knowing a skincare brand has invested in this level of scientific research give you more confidence in its products?

I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts! 👇

If you are new here, hello! 👋🏻

I’m Fiona, a qualified skin expert and facialist with over 30 years of experience. I’ve treated thousands of faces, trained thousands of beauty professionals and worked alongside some of the industry’s leading scientists and formulators.

My mission is to take the confusion out of skincare, help you understand your skin and, hopefully, save you a few pounds along the way!

You’ll find independent skincare advice, honest product reviews, ingredient education and plenty of myth-busting here!

So if that sounds like your kind of skincare community, give me a follow ❤️

Some people go to skincare launches for the products. I go for the SCIENCE!

And I did my homework before this one! No surprises there!

I’d spent hours looking into the research behind this new launch and arrived armed with a very long list of questions!

But I have to say, The Skin Diary team were absolutely brilliant! Not only did they welcome all my questions, they took the time to answer every single one of them.

Everyone was so knowledgeable, but the scientist from the University of Manchester was INCREDIBLE! I could have happily sat there for hours talking about the skin!

For me, it’s not just about WHAT a product claims to do. I want to understand HOW it works, WHY it works and, most importantly, what scientific evidence supports those claims.

And when I tell you the research behind this launch is INSANE, I really mean it! 🤯

I’ve got so much to share with you, so expect a reel coming very soon!

Now tell me, are you interested in the science behind your skincare, or do you just want to know if a product works? 👇🏻

🍂 7 AUTUMN SKINCARE MISTAKES YOU COULD BE MAKING!

The temperatures are dropping, the central heating is going on and suddenly your skin isn’t behaving quite like it did a few months ago!

Our skin can absolutely respond to seasonal changes. It might start feeling drier, tighter, more dehydrated or looking a little dull.

But here’s where so many people go wrong!

We start throwing everything at our skin and hoping something sticks! 😂

A richer moisturiser, more exfoliation, another serum, a whole new routine…

But is that actually what your skin needs?

After more than 30 years working with skin, one thing I always say is understand what your skin is telling you before changing what you’re putting on it!

👉🏻 Swipe through for my expert tips.

📌 SAVE this for the next time your skin starts behaving differently!

Now I’m curious… which of these 7 mistakes have you been guilty of? 😂👇🏻
