Ashley doesn’t just provide the physical side - she’s got good chat, an adviser, a sympathetic ear, and not to mention a bit of a comedian I think from the laughter we hear from her room.

Firstly Ami had passed her driving test and then today was awarded student of the year for hairdressing at West Lothian college.

A little about me ✨

I’ve had lots of new followers recently, so I thought I’d introduce myself to those who don’t know me yet 🥰

My name is Ashley, I’m 35, and I’ve been a complementary therapist for 7 years.

A complementary therapist offers holistic treatments designed to work alongside Western medicine, with a focus on improving both physical and emotional wellbeing.

I trained with the Complementary Therapy School in 2019, completing a two year diploma and qualifying as a Complementary Therapist. My first modality was Reiki (Level 2), and I’ve since expanded my practice to include treatments such as lymphatic drainage, deep tissue massage and more.

I now tutor new students at the same school, something that has been one of the most pivotal and proud moments of my career. Being invited to teach in a field I’m so passionate about felt like stepping into a whole new league.

I also proudly volunteer my therapies at St Columba’s Hospice. When I first became a therapist, I always knew I wanted to work in this space, offering comfort and care to those in their final chapter. It is truly a privilege, and I feel incredibly blessed to be part of it ❤️

I’m based in Mid Calder and moved into my treatment room 2.5 years ago, a little calm, safe haven for both myself and my clients. I’m lucky to work alongside a fantastic group of women 🩷

Outside of work, I love hiking, paddle boarding and wild swimming, often solo, or with my teenage son 🤍

I’m deeply passionate about the work I do, and I feel incredibly grateful to share this space with you all 💛
