MILIA — tiny but stubborn!

That little white bump near the eye might look like a spot, but milia are very different.

Milia are tiny keratin-filled cysts that sit just beneath the surface of the skin. Unlike a normal spot, they don’t have an opening, which is why squeezing and picking at them at home often achieves nothing; except potentially causing inflammation, pigmentation or scarring.

This client had a particularly noticeable milia close to the inner eye area.

➡️ Before: a firm, raised white milia
➡️ Immediately after removal: milia successfully extracted, leaving only a tiny superficial treatment point which will heal.

Because the skin around the eyes is extremely delicate, this is definitely an area where I wouldn’t recommend trying to remove one yourself.

Milia removal is a quick, targeted treatment and can make such a difference to something that may have been annoying you for months or even years.
