Let’s talk GREENIES 💚
Yep… this is my own nail 🙃
I noticed some lifting down the side of my BIAB and, after removing the product, discovered this underneath.
A “greenie” can develop when product lifts away from the natural nail and moisture becomes trapped in that little pocket — creating the perfect environment for bacteria to grow. The green colour is staining left behind on the nail plate.
This is exactly why I always recommend getting any lifting or broken nails repaired rather than leaving them until your next appointment.
The product has now been removed and this nail will be staying product-free while I keep an eye on it and allow the discolouration to grow out. 💚
Moral of the story: if you spot lifting, message your nail tech!
