This is Crowned with Care — a tailored hair experience for Black and mixed heritage children in the foster care system. We don’t just do hair. We celebrate identity, build confidence and make children feel seen, valued and connect local authorities with the right people.

This week we delivered two more experiences across London and Leicester. Children who had never had their hair done before sat in a chair and left glowing. Foster carers left with the knowledge and products to care for their child’s hair at home. And every single child went home with a hair box they built themselves, a book celebrating who they are and a sweet bag to remind them they matter.

One carer said, “The warmth, kindness, and care you and all your colleagues showed to every child was so evident, and it made such a difference. Experiences like this mean so much, especially for children in care, and what you created will have a lasting impact on our girls.“

This is just the beginning.

Crowned with Care is the place where they come to be seen, pampered and celebrated — through professional hair care, education and community.

We connect local professional Afro hairstylists with Foster Carers and Social workers to create lasting relationships that support the young persons cultural needs🧡
