Mrs K's Tree House

👋🏻 Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately! I’ve been busy working in school, but that’s all done now, so it’s time to get back to it!!! 🌿

I’ll be back next week with a SALE! 👀🙌🏻

I’ve got some lovely bits ready to go, including a little stash of these houses 🏡🤎

Keep your eyes peeled… there will def be a few bargains up for grabs! 👀✨

Thanks for sticking around even when I’ve been a bit quiet! 🥰

Name writing in Nursery… be interested to hear your thoughts/experiences 👀

I've worked in Nursery classes (school) where the obsession with name writing starts SO early. It's almost a daily mantra!!! Children copy what they think letters look like, sometimes developing their own ways of forming them.

But those early habits can be tricky to "unlearn" later.

Then I've worked in a Nursery this last few weeks where the focus was on fine motor skills, Dough Disco, playdough, threading, cutting and mark-making!!

Formal letter formation comes at this schol much later, when children were ready to learn it properly

It has been SO refreshing to see those important
foundations given the time they deserve ♥️♥️

Sorry for the 📻 silence! I’ve been working in the most gorgeous nursery class 🥹 so I’ve been a bit preoccupied!

Tonight’s drop is a bit of a rubbish one 😂 BUT I do have these really sweet sets of 4 fine motor boards!

Perfect for threading, or using with things like loom bands to make patterns and practise those little fine motor skills 🥰

Each set has 4 boards — 2 of each design

The wood does have a little bit of peely bark in places, hence the price! But even if a bit of the bark does come off, the natural wood underneath is really pretty anyway 🌿🤎

Such a cute little fine motor activity!

Available tonight on the website at 7.30!! 🤎

Definitely feeling the autumn vibes this year!!! 🍂🦔

Just a little reminder that these little hedgehogs are included in my sale for this weekend only!! 👀

Ends TONIGHT at 8pm!

Take a look at the website and scroll down to ‘This Week Only’ 🌿

I went into a school this week and I was wowed by their Early Years department 😍🥹

It was also unbelievably refreshing to see a Headteacher who genuinely *gets* Early Years!!! 🌿

And then, sitting on one of the shelves, I spotted something rather exciting…

One of my products! 😍

Was not expecting it and seeing something I’ve made with my own hands actually being used in a real Early Years setting — especially one that so clearly values natural, open-ended resources and child-led learning it absolutely made my day!!!! 🥰🌿

And yep I am far too awkward to say id made it of course 🫠🫣 so just said oh i like that 🙊

🍂🦔 SPECIAL AUTUMN OFFER! 🦔🍂

My hedgehogs are getting a little special offer this weekend only! 👀

A little reminder that I do these too — with their removable “spikes” for little hands to add and take away! 🌿

I’ve also got one left of each of my sale items, so I’ve knocked the prices down a little further 👀

Basically, I’d rather the last few bits went off to be played with than sit here taking up space 😂🌿

So if you’ve had your eye on anything, now’s the time — once they’re gone, they’re gone!!!

Head to the website, scroll down to THIS WEEK ONLY and have a nose 👀

My sale is tonight at 7.30pm!! 🎉

Head to the website (link in bio!) and scroll down to THIS WEEK ONLY 👀

I’m actually really enjoying thinking up bits for these weekly drops!!! It’s been really good having a clearout and giving some of these things a new home

For these drops I’m using some of my not-so-perfect wood or things I’ve simply got a bit too much of — hence the low prices and bargains! 🌿

Your support honestly means so much and I really do hope you enjoy the things when they arrive with you ❤️

See you at 7.30 hopefully!!!

🌿 Little midweek drop! 🌿

Incoming tomorrow — Wednesday 30th September! 👀

There are just 7 different items available this time, although I have made a few sets of a couple of them.

Including these subitising skittles !

A little mix of natural play bits, all made by me from wood!! 🌳

Come and have a nosy tomorrow! 👀✨

You weren’t very forthcoming with ideas for my exploding massive box of chunky sticks!! 🫣😅

Might have a sort through and see if I can make another set or two of these…

More ideas gratefully received!!!!🌿
