17 September 2026 | A closer look at deep plane face & neck surgery

Today’s patient travelled from London to Leeds for her comprehensive facial rejuvenation at the National UK Facelift Centre at Leeds Private Hospital.

Her surgery included a deep plane face and neck lift with deep neck contouring and gland reduction, alongside an endoscopic brow lift and open septorhinoplasty.

In this video, we’re focusing specifically on the neck part of her operation.

One of the important principles Dr Fas Arshad explains is that modern deep plane surgery isn’t simply about pulling or tightening the skin.

By working underneath the skin and repositioning the deeper tissues, we can keep the amount of skin separation to a minimum. The aim is to create a natural-looking improvement in the face, jawline and neck, while minimising some of the tell-tale signs traditionally associated with facelift surgery.

For certain patients, achieving the best neck contour also means addressing some of the deeper structures beneath the muscle. This can include carefully reducing prominent submandibular glands when clinically appropriate.

Fully qualified Consultant Head & Neck and Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr Fas Arshad discusses why a detailed understanding of these deeper anatomical structures is so important when performing advanced face and neck surgery.

This was a comprehensive operation, and what you’re seeing here is only the neck component of her facial rejuvenation.
