St Andrews Duathlon 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🚴🏻‍♂️ 🏃🏼‍♀️ Saints Triathlon Team Health And Fitness University of St Andrews 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 on Sunday - thank you for hosting; grateful for the Autumn light ☀️ - a perfect cloudless blue sky & little wind for race day; the Holy Spirit for being wind beneath my wings🪽; safe yet slow for me transitions in my first multi sport event in many years and this years focus of reconditioning and managing a significant fear of falling after a nasty accident one year ago; practices of yoga nidra and breathwork that have helped on this path; the humbling experience of place 47 out of 50 😳 in sprint distance of 5 km run + 25 km cycle + 2.5 km run among GBR athletes and fast young uni athletes 🔥 when parkrun UK on Saturday I was place 42 out of 247 and 9th female overall and mostly defend first place in my age category VW40-44; grounding pep talk from Ross Whittaker ; bike service by talented Luke at Revolt cycle mechanics in Arncroach; spinal adjustments with Dr Kelly (Frankie) on South Street St Andrews; a strong tension releasing massage with Siri St Andrews; thanks my neighbours Katya & team East Pier Smokehouse in St Monans for a wonderful post race dinner of smoked hake 🐠 with salty olives, feta & sun-dried tomatoes and for caring for me as a solo diner with a special sea view, blanket over my knees and large glass of w**e that went straight to my head! grateful to welcome back the dark which illuminates the sunset, stars and moon and recent northern lights 💫 in our wee village with no light pollution.
