Night one in Barcelona with Mesoestetic ✨

Feeling very grateful to be here. A beautiful evening filled with incredible food, lovely w**e and even better company.

The perfect start to a very special few days with Mesoestetic in Barcelona 🤍

A very special day in Barcelona 🇪🇸

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Mesoestetic’s headquarters, spending time with the team, hearing more about the science and innovation behind the brand, and getting a behind the scenes look at the facilities and laboratories.

There is something so valuable about seeing where the research, development and technology behind the products we use in clinic actually happens. I loved learning more about the work that goes into Mesoestetic’s formulations and the standards behind the brand.

A huge thank you to Mesoestetic for inviting me to Barcelona and for such a thoughtful and inspiring experience. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of it 🤍

A little glimpse of a very lovely couple of days at the BAMAN Autumn Conference 🤎

One of my favourite things about this industry is that there is always more to learn. I genuinely still love listening to other practitioners, hearing different perspectives and coming away with new ideas to take back into my own practice.

But just as importantly, it’s the people. Catching up with friends, meeting new faces and having the time to properly enjoy each other’s company outside of clinic.

The conference was followed by the BAMAN Awards, which was such a gorgeous evening celebrating some brilliant people and everything they contribute to our profession.

I feel very lucky to be part of BAMAN and incredibly proud to represent the North of Scotland as Regional Leader.

Two days of learning, lovely people, getting dressed up and a lot of laughter. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more 🤎

A wee hello, if you’re new here 🤎

I’m Ally, an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and founder of Glow Medspa in Inverness.

I qualified as a nurse in 2016, completed my first aesthetics training that same year and started working in aesthetics in 2017. I was drawn to this industry because I was genuinely fascinated by what it could do. How small, thoughtful changes could make someone feel a little more like themselves again.

Nearly a decade later, I think that’s still the part I love most.

I’ve done a lot of learning along the way, from advanced aesthetics training to Masters level university study in dermatology, person centred consultation and independent prescribing. I’m also very proud to be the North of Scotland Regional Leader for BAMAN.

But I think what matters most when you sit in my consultation room is that I’ll be honest with you.

I love looking at the bigger picture. Not just what we could treat today, but what will actually suit you, what’s worth doing and how the decisions we make now might look in five or ten years.

Sometimes that means treatment. Sometimes it means a longer term plan. And sometimes it means me telling you I really don’t think you need anything at all.

A huge part of my life now is Glow. I founded the clinic and it really is my baby. I spend probably far too much of my time thinking about it, growing it and finding ways to make the experience we give our patients even better.

And when I’m not doing that, I’m happiest travelling, spending time with my husband and my parents, or anywhere there are animals involved.

I’d like this page to feel a little more personal from now on. More of what I’m doing in clinic, the treatments I genuinely love, conferences, training, running Glow and the things I’m learning and thinking about along the way.

So if you’ve only just found me, hello 🤎 I’m very glad you’re here.

It’s often the little changes that make the biggest difference 🤎

One of the subtle signs of ageing we can start to notice is a change in the lower face. The skin and tissues begin to soften, the marionette area becomes more noticeable and the smooth line we once had through the lower face can start to change.

Here I’m using a small amount of dermal filler where the marionette area meets the lower face, gently supporting that transition and restoring a little of the definition that has been lost over time.

Nothing dramatic.

Just thoughtful placement in the right area to create a softer, fresher result while still looking completely like you.

For me, that’s what good aesthetic treatment should do 🤎

BAMAN North of Scotland | Inverness ✨

I’m delighted to invite our BAMAN members to join me for an Intoxicating Afternoon Tea at the beautiful Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa on Sunday 29th November.

These regional events are such a lovely opportunity to step away from the clinic for an afternoon, catch up with familiar faces, meet other medical aesthetic professionals from across the Highlands and North of Scotland, and enjoy some relaxed conversation over afternoon tea.

Whether you’ve attended one of our events before or this would be your first, you’ll be made very welcome. Our regional get togethers are all about connection, support and building a strong local professional community.

📅 Sunday 29th November 2026
⏰ 1.30pm to 4.00pm
📍 Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa

Places are limited, so please book your place through BAMAN if you’d like to join us.

I’d love to see as many of our North of Scotland members there as possible for what should be a really lovely afternoon. 🤍

Day 16 check in post LipoLas ✨

A little reminder before your aesthetics appointment 🤎

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what treatment you want.

You don’t need to know how many syringes you need, or have decided which areas you’d like treated.

Just come and tell me what you’ve noticed, what’s bothering you, or simply how you’d like to feel when you look in the mirror.

We can talk through everything together and decide what feels right for you. Sometimes that might be a treatment. Sometimes it might be looking at your skin first. And sometimes it might be doing nothing at all.

There’s never any pressure to have it all figured out before you walk through the door.

That’s what the consultation is for. 🤎
