I am a Wilderness Therapeutic Practitioner and Woodland Tutor.
With a background in Teaching within SEN settings, I have been able to combine my experience, qualifications and passion for nourishing self esteem through nature to create Emerging Fern. I am Alison, a qualified teacher with eight years experience in a Special Educational Needs setting and two years as a Woodland Tutor and Wilderness Therapeutic Practitioner. I work with Woodventurers Woodland Learning to provide Alternative Provision sessions in a woodland setting for learners in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. I also work independently as a Wilderness Therapeutic Practitioner, running my 'Wild Esteem' programme for small groups of pupils in their school outdoor areas. I am now developing opportunities for adults to experience a range of therapeutic practices in a woodland setting in order to find connection with nature and relaxation from day to day life.
