Why microneedling aftercare is a non-negotiable in my clinic

Microneedling is an advanced treatment which causes controlled microinjuries to the skin in order to trigger the skin’s natural healing response.
We should therefore be treating the skin’s with the same considerations as an open wound in the 72hours post treatment to avoid infection and optimise results.

After every microneedling session you’ll walk away with a free microneedling aftercare kit to see you through the next few days (and who doesn’t love a freebie?!)

What’s included and why?

IsoClean aftercare essentials kit
🫧Hypochlorus acid- to keep the skin bacteria free, this potent yet gentle spray will keep pesky bacteria away from the skin during the healing process.
🫧Clean towels- because we never want to be using anything other than a single use product to dry our face post needling. Towels are not only too rough on the skin but harbour bacteria which could lead to infection.

🫧Cebelia LCE Balm
Specifically designed for use post aesthetic treatment it’s protective silicone film encourages epidermal repair and helps minimise swelling.

🫧Mineral SPF
SPF is an absolute non negotiable post Microneedling. The skin will be hyper sensitive to UV rays in the days following your treatment.
SPF will also prevent collagen degeneration from UV rays- exactly what we need when we are actively trying to trigger collagen production.
Chemical SPFs are NOT suitable post treatment as they absorb UV rays and convert them into heat, with the skin barrier being compromised this can trigger inflammation and irritation in freshly needled skin.

Did you know……?

That microneedling can be performed on the body too?

Here i’m using my microneedling with polynucleotides protocol to improve the appearance of my post pregnancy stretch marks and restore skin laxity.

Using a needle depth of 1.5mm to create micro channels into the dermis to stimulate fibroblasts. This will induce the production of collagen and elastin as well as the topical polynucleotides penetrating the micro channels triggering cellular repair.

One thing that frequently comes up in conversation is ‘can I just have one session of Microneedling?’

Of course the answer is yes, but my response would be ‘if you’re only going to have a single session, you’re not going to get the full benefit or results.’
Yes, you’ll get a glow and a feeling of tighter skin BUT we can also achieve similar one off results for less money with other treatments.’

My advice- if you’ve never had microneedling, perhaps you’re worried about it hurting and want to try it out before committing to a course, absolutely go for it.
If you’re looking for RESULTS, I’m talking true collagen banking and skin remodelling waiting until you can commit to a course of treatments might just be your best bet.
