🤍 What a stunning Weekend 🤍

I had the absolute pleasure of styling this beautiful humans hair at the weekend. We’ve been close friends for as long as I can remember, we’ve had a fair few adventures along the way over the many years of friendship, but this one is the most memorable for all the right reasons. But not only did I have the honour of doing the brides hair, I also had the honour of being one of the bridesmaids.

Shay Davies watching you over the last couple of years organise and prepare your special day and then watch walk down the aisle to marry Rich was incredibly special.

What an honour it is to be your friend, hairdresser and bridesmaid. Rich is a very lucky man to have you.

Ps: If anyone has swiped to the end, your eyes are seeing correct, it’s not every day you attend a wedding with a 5 week old rescue baby squirrel and a beautiful Pup named Rebel, who was his best behaviour and stole everyone’s hearts.

💫 12 years of Kylee Marie Hair 💫

Last week my little business turned 12… and somehow I nearly let the moment pass without celebrating it.

12 years of doing something I genuinely love.
12 years of wonderful clients, countless colours, weddings, laughs, cups of coffee and probably more foils than I could ever count, and I’ve loved every moment.

When I first started Kylee Marie Hair, I don’t think I could have imagined I’d still be here 12 years later, with my own little studio and so many amazing people who continue to trust me with their hair. How lucky am I!

Some years have been easier than others, and I’ve definitely been a little quiet on here lately. But reaching 12 years has made me stop and realise just how proud I am of the little business I’ve built.

I still love creating beautiful hair. I still love making you feel good when they leave my chair. And I’ve got some dreams for where I’d love to take this little business in the future.

To every single person who’s sat in my chair, recommended me, shared my work, supported my business or simply followed along, from the bottom of my heart, a massive Thank You 🥰

💫 FULL PRICING OVERHAUL 💫

I wanted to let all my beautiful Clients know that from the 18th May , I’ll be carrying out a full pricing overhaul across all of my services.

Aside from a small few pounds on colour services increase last October, I haven’t significantly updated my pricing since reopening after the first lockdown in 2020 (I know, I know 🤦🏼‍♀️)
Since then, the cost of products, stock, education, utilities, and running a business has increased massively, while I’ve continued investing in the quality of products, training, and service I provide to all you lovely people.

This new pricing structure has been carefully considered to better reflect the time, skill, product usage, and care that goes into each appointment, while allowing me to continue running my business sustainably and providing the level of service and results I pride myself on.

I completely understand that these changes are significant, and this decision definitely hasn’t been made lightly. But after six years without a major increase, this overhaul has become necessary.

The updated pricing will also be much clearer and more tailored to each individual service moving forward. Also allowing the online booking to be easier and more straight forward.

I’m incredibly grateful for every client who continues to support my business and trust me with their hair, I am forever grateful for your loyalty, love and custom, it genuinely means the world to me 🤍

💫 WEDDINGS 💫

After scaling down my wedding services to be more present in my childrens lives for the last few years, coaching one of their football teams, watching them play whilst taxiing them all over the Southwest, taking them to festivals, camping trips and having a whole lot of fun making memories (and will still continue to do so).

I am an old romantic at heart and you can’t beat a good wedding. I have always felt so honoured to be apart of someone’s wedding preparations. The early starts, the taking control of timings, ensuring everything goes accordingly so no bride or member of the bridal party stresses. Working along side those involved in the wedding industry from make up artists, videographers, photographers, venue providers, wedding coordinators all of us, sometimes strangers have one thing in common….. ensuring your day is perfect, no hiccups and we come together as a team when we are in fact all separate businesses.

So, saying all this, my diary is back open for wedding hair services.

So this is a personal post.
I recently have signed up to do a 26 mile hike over the Cotswolds for charity. This is a charity very close to my heart. Many of my clients know about my personal situation, but whilst my wonderful dad is able to watch me walk over that finish line I will do this for him.

I’d like wish Holsworthy youth under 15 girls football team all the best in their Devon County Cup quarter final tomorrow morning.
Not only am I the sponsor of their training jackets, I’m a parent of a player but along side that I’m also the coach of this team.
They have made me unbelievably proud of what they have accomplished in such a short space of time already.

Thats a wrap for 2023. A heartwarming thank you to everyone who has sat in my chair this year. It’s been an amazing year but also a very tough year for us as a family. Without your support and love I couldn’t have made it, we’ve certainly laughed and cried together. You are all amazing and I’m forever grateful to have you in my life.
