As some of you might know, I am getting ready to welcome my baby soon! 🍼 While I am so incredibly excited to meet my little one, stepping away for maternity leave after only 2 years of self employment is also pretty scary.

As a self-employed small business owner, taking time off to care for my baby means my income completely pauses. Unfortunately government support just isn't designed to fairly protect mums when they are at their most vulnerable and suddenly have another mouth to feed. Because of this gap, your support right now means more to my wee family than words can say.

If you have been thinking about getting a new set of press-on nails or booking to get your nails done in my nail studio, doing so before I step away for maternity leave would be the greatest gift.

Last year I loved getting out into the community and selling my press-on nails at local markets. I was hoping to keep doing them right up until my leave, but due to severe pelvic girdle pain, (made much worse by my hypermobility 🤦🏻‍♀️) standing and working at markets just isn't realistic for my body right now.

Press ons are a great idea if your kid wants to experiment with nails but you don't like the idea of their young and still growing nails to have gels on them. Instead of glue I provide sticky reusable dots so you don't need worry about them catching! They are also ideal if they get fed up having them on and you don't want to waste money on a set that they can't reuse. (I've heard this is pretty common! 😅)

Didn't expect to be doing seashells nails for the first time EVER on a 9am client but ya know what?Sometimes I have my brave girl pants on and pretend I know what I'm doing and it turns out just fine.

My best friend Catriona always surprises me with her nail choice, said me NEVER.

She always picks a french 😂 but ya know what, they look great on her! 🥰 if you like what you like what's the point in messing around! 😎

The anchor kept these nails on for a good 5 weeks until she had a fresh set today 😂⚓️
