Amateur Musical Theatre Group Helensburgh Savoy has produced over 35 musicals and dozens of concerts since 1984. Helensburgh.
We’re also proud to have donated over £33,000 directly to local charities in that time. We are a very inclusive group and encourage all ages and abilities to take part in our productions. Although singing and acting are obviously a main part of a Helensburgh Savoy production, many other talents are needed. Costume, set building, scenery painting, make-up, props, stage management and crew, prompting, front of house and fund raising are all vital and enjoyable parts of what, at first glance, appears to be a purely musical activity. Perhaps you like singing and do not want to act in a show but would like to take part in our concerts. Whatever your interest we would like to hear from you. We meet most Wednesdays at 7:30pm in St Michaels Church Hall, William St. If at all interested in joining, helping or making contact with the club, please email the Secretary at: [email protected]

1pm Sunday 18th October: Hadestown The Musical
97% on Rotten Tomatoes
The live theatre movie of the hit musical Hadestown, which won eight Tony Awards in 2019 including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, featuring the five original principals of the Broadway company. The genre-defying new musical blends modern American folk music with New Orleans-inspired jazz to reimagine a sweeping ancient tale. Following two intertwining love stories -- that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone -- Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back.
Only Together can we POWER the TOWER!
