6 days post-op 🩷

I’ve already had clients asking when I’ll be back taking appointments, and honestly, it’s lovely to know I’m missed! 🥹🩷✂️

But today has been a reminder that I’m still very much recovering. I’ve had a pretty rough night/day with pain and a migraine, so my only job right now is resting and letting my body heal.

I’m definitely not going to put pressure on myself to decide when I’m returning to work just yet. I’ll know when I’m ready — and I promise I’ll let you all know. 🩷

For now, it’s rest, recover and absolutely no hairdryer! 😂✂️

I’m actually going to do as I’m told and follow my surgeons orders 🤦🏼‍♀️…. Go me 😂😊🩷

I’m home 🏡🩷 and definitely in a little bit of pain, but so relieved to be back in my own bed!

Thank you so much for all your lovely messages, they really do mean so much. 🥰 I’m going to get some much-needed rest tonight and will try my best to get back to everyone tomorrow, once I’ve had a full night’s sleep in my own bed. 😴🩷

Well… I’m officially on the other side! 🥹🏥

My operation is done and I’m now in recovery. 💕 I’m feeling a little groggy, sore and very sleepy, but the main thing is IT’S DONE! 🙌🏻🩷

Thank you so much to everyone who has sent messages, checked in, wished me luck and kept me in their thoughts today. It honestly means more than you know. 🥹🩷

Now it’s time to concentrate on resting, recovering and letting myself be looked after for a change! 😂🙈

My appointment book is officially CLOSED while I have my operation today and take some much-needed time to recover.

I’ll be putting my feet up, concentrating on getting better and trying my very best to behave myself! 😂🙈

💕 A little appointment notice from Sarah Jane Hodson Hair 💕

With my operation only a few days away, I’ve been advised to be extra careful and avoid being around any illnesses or infections before I go into hospital.

So, if you’re feeling unwell, have an infection, shingles, a heavy cold/flu, or anything contagious, please let me know before your appointment. ❤️

I completely understand that these things happen, and there’s absolutely no judgement — I would much rather rearrange your appointment than risk becoming unwell so close to my operation.

I’m doing my very best to keep everyone booked in, but for the next few days my health has to come first. 🥰

Appointment Update 💗

Just a little appointment update for everyone ❤️

I currently have very limited spaces available over the next few weeks. Since coming home from holiday, I’m juggling getting Maisie Bleu moved into her university accommodation, along with several hospital and doctors’ appointments in Sheffield, Worksop and Doncaster.

I’m doing my absolute best to fit everyone in and keep everybody happy, but I’m not going to lie… I feel like I’m going dizzy trying to please everyone at the moment 😂😂

Please bear with me, and if you need an appointment, please message me as soon as possible so I can get you booked into one of the spaces I have available.

🤍 A Little Update 🤍

To all my lovely clients,

I just wanted to let you know about a few important dates coming up.

From 7th–21st August, I’ll be taking my annual holiday with my beautiful daughter, Maisie Bleu. As she’ll be starting university in September, this will be our last holiday together before she begins an exciting new chapter, so it’s a very special one for us both. 💕

I am also hoping to have my surgery around 17th September (subject to final NHS confirmation). Following the operation, I’ll need approximately 6 weeks to rest and recover before returning to work. (Bit less all being well the surgeon said yesterday)

If you’d like your hair done before my holiday or before I take time off for surgery, I’d really recommend booking your appointments in advance, as my diary is already starting to fill up.

I want to say a huge thank you to every one of you for your kindness, patience and continued support. Being your hairdresser means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the trust you place in me.

I can’t wait to see you all over the next few weeks before I take a little time to rest and heal.
