There have been lots of new faces around here lately, so I thought it was time for a proper re-introduction…

For those of you who don’t know me already, hello, I’m Bex 👋

I’m the face behind Chapel Medical Aesthetics in Harrogate, and we’ve just celebrated two years in business!! 🥂

Alongside the clinic, I’m a midwife with 14 years of clinical experience, supporting people through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I also lecture and teach midwives, including how to handle emergencies (so yes, I stay pretty calm under pressure 😅).

My own eczema journey sparked my love of skin, and I’m more invested in it now than ever. I’m always learning and always pushing myself to be the best I can be for you all, and I’ve got some exciting things coming soon that I can’t wait to share with you 👀

In clinic, I specialise in regenerative treatments for the face and hair, including hair restoration. I help men and women over 35 look well and age well, without looking different or “done”.

Fair warning... I’m honest. I’ll tell you if collagen powders are a waste of your money (spoiler: I think they are). I’ll tell you that you don’t need a 10 step skincare routine, because who has time for that?! And I’ll always explain why I’m recommending something. My job is to solve the actual problem, not sell you the latest trend.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find me juggling two kids, a pony, my dog and a business built around family life. Somehow it all works… most days! 🫠

This is a safe, non judgemental space, so you can tell me anything 🤍 I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to see you all in clinic soon (new and familiar faces, of course!) ✨

There are so many reasons why your hair starts falling out. In the first instance, always get checked out by a GP to rule out any underlying conditions.

Fortunately, some of the common causes like the ones I have told you about can be easily treated with non surgical methods.

To find out more for yourself or someone you know, DM me 'HAIR' and I'll tell you the next steps to take.

Hair growth takes time but it's well worth the wait!

Supported with the right treatments, this client's hair has grown in the right areas and increased her confidence massively.

If you are looking into ways to support thinning hair, DM 'HAIR' for your no obligation consultation.

I have no issues with having a few lines!
But I do not have the time or the patience for a 20 step skincare routine!!

I have treatments so I don't need to put lots of different products on my face. It's a time saving measure!

Skincare should complement your lifestyle, not take over it - comment if you agree 👇

I’m not afraid to say no to a client — and here’s why.

Just because you can have a treatment, doesn’t always mean you should.

Sometimes a client comes to me asking for a particular treatment, but after a proper consultation, I don’t believe it’s the right option for them.

And I’ll tell them.

I won’t recommend a treatment because it’s popular.
I won’t treat something just because someone has asked me to.
And I certainly won’t make you feel like you need more treatments than you actually do.

My job is to look at the bigger picture — your anatomy, your skin, your concerns, your goals and, most importantly, the result you want to achieve.

Sometimes that means recommending something completely different.

And sometimes it means saying, “I don’t think you need treatment at all.”

Because for me, aesthetics isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing what’s right for you.

That’s the kind of honesty and care I’d want from my practitioner — and it’s exactly what I offer my clients in my bespoke consultations 🤍

No pressure, just an honest opinion.

What did you think makes me cross?!

I cannot stand lack of transparency. It makes me really cross and is why I always show my clients what they are having and discuss their treatment with them before they have it.

I always inform as to why I have chosen that product, the placing, the dose. If you don't know what's going into your face then ask! And if you are one of my clients, you will be told without having to ask. It's called being transparent and informed.
