What is Micro needling?
Microneedling is a non-invasive but extremely effective rejuvenation treatment which harnesses your skin’s natural ability to repair itself. Using very tiny needles to puncture the surface of the skin, it stimulates a healing response, causing your skin to kickstart its collagen and elastin production.
Micro-needling treats many different skin concerns in an effective way by targeting areas to tighten and smooth the skin.
It also improves general skin texture including wrinkles, fine lines, acne and surgical scars, stretch marks and enlarged pores.
Before your microneedling treatment
• Avoid the use of self tanning products for up to 48 hours
• Avoid sun exposure and the use of skin products that contain vitamin A or retinol for 24 hours
After care
Mild redness can occur for the first day or so
•Apply a sunscreen of at least 30 SPF daily to protect the newly treated skin form sun exposure
• For the first day after your treatment you will ideally not wash your face
• Avoid anything that causes excessive sweating for the next 48 hours, as well as hot showers and massages
Recommended sessions
Between 3-6 sessions, within 4-6 weeks of each other.
This depends on what your skin concerns are, as each client is different. When you attend your consultation, a treatment plan can be recommended to suit your individual needs.
