🤍 Baby Loss Awareness Week 🤍

This week, I'll be remembering all of our babies that we can't hold in our arms, but will always hold in our hearts.

I don't mind admitting that this past week has been really hard for me. Not only is it Baby Loss Awareness Week, but it was also the due date for my baby Nova. I've quietly been carrying my grief as life carries on around me, and it's reminded me of something I think we can all forget sometimes...
Social media is a little snapshot of our lives. We share the happy moments, the achievements, the good days and the pretty pictures. But there's so much that happens behind the scenes that nobody else sees. You never really know what someone is carrying, what they've been through or what they're trying to navigate privately.

I'm not sharing this for sympathy. I'm sharing it because I think it's important to be honest about the fact that life isn't always as picture perfect as it might look from the outside.

This Baby Loss Awareness Week, my thoughts are with everyone affected by baby loss. Those who talk about their babies openly, those who grieve quietly, and those who are just trying to get through the day.
I see you 🤍 It's okay to not be okay (well actually it's not okay, its awful). Baby loss is heartbreaking, and while awareness can't take away the pain, some understanding, kindness and support can make a difference.

So, a little reminder that behind every business, every smiling face and every social media post, there's a real person with a whole life you might know nothing about.

Be kind to each other. You never know how much someone might need it 🕊️

A bit preoccupied at the moment worrying about this thing I thought was a good idea 🙈 and now I feel like I’ve forgotten how to run...

Why did I go to Parkrun last October?! None of this would have happened if I’d just stayed at home on that cold Saturday morning like a normal person 😂

In all seriousness though, running has become my therapy, and I genuinely don’t know what my story would look like today if I hadn’t found it.

So I’m sharing this as a little bit of accountability, because on Sunday morning I’m going to need ALL the support I can get. 🥹

From my first Parkrun, to my first 10k, to somehow deciding a half marathon was the logical next step...
