Scared of painting dark colours? šŸ·

Here’s my secret to painting them so neatly...

It’s all in the cuticle prep. šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼ Dark shades show every bit of flooding, so if your prep isn’t spot on, everyone will see it. Nail the prep and your colour sits exactly where you want it.

Good tools make it so much easier too. I use Lucy Pastorelli for all my prep. šŸ’…šŸ¼

I teach my exact technique in my 1-2-1 in person training šŸ“

I quit at 23 with zero clients and no plan. 7 years later, I’m fully booked, working my own hours, and I love what I do. šŸ¤

Thinking about becoming a nail tech? DM me ā€œbeginner nail trainingā€ and let’s start building your future.

You’ve put in the hours, the money and the years to get qualified. Why not invest in the skill that makes clients rebook, refer and happily pay more? šŸ¤

Training doesn’t have to mean a full room of strangers. This is just you, me and your model. Ask me anything, try my products or bring your own. It’s tailored to you. ✨

The 1-2-1 upskill training is £280.

Glasgow girls, DM me ā€œTRAININGā€ and I’ll send you dates.

Not local? Something’s launching soon just for you. Comment šŸ‘€ and I’ll make sure you’re the first to know.

SOMETHING’S COMING SOON šŸ‘€ā—ļø

If you’re newly qualified (or just feel stuck) between ā€œmy technique needs workā€ and ā€œI can’t get my client base to stickā€... this one’s for you.

I built my business the messy way — technique wasn’t there yet, but I focused hard on my clients and kept investing in training. Skills came later.

Turns out you need both. And I’ve never seen anyone teach it together in one place.

I’m working on something that might change that šŸ‘€

Vote below if you’d be interested in a course that covers both šŸ‘‡

Real talk: I still book out every single week without discounting, without gimmicks, and without chasing every trend that pops up on my feed.

The one thing that’s never changed in 10 years? I invest in training every year. That’s it. That’s the whole secret.

Not because I need another certificate on the wall — because it’s what keeps clients choosing me over someone newer, cheaper, or ā€œtrendier.ā€

If you’re feeling stuck, invisible, or like your bookings have gone quiet — it’s probably not you. It’s probably time to learn something new.

DM me what you’re struggling with!! I want to help! šŸ™Œ

You have 3 months left of 2026. ā³

If you’re fed up in your job, or you honestly have no idea what you want to do, this one’s for you.

Seven years ago I was 23 and had zero clients. I just started. Now I run a fully booked nail business, I choose my own days, and I get to do something creative that I’m proud of.

You don’t need experience or a five-year plan. You just need to start somewhere.

And if the thought of ā€œthat nail girlā€ life makes you a little bit excited, listen to that feeling. šŸ’…

My BIA accredited course is built for complete beginners. It’s 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 in Glasgow, and you’ll get a workbook, starter kit and support from me after.

DM me ā€œ BEGINNER TRAININGā€ and I’ll send you more info.

We’ve all done it. A client asks for a shape, we say yes, and we move on with the appointment.

But our clients trust us to know what will work on their nails. They’re not going to know unless we tell them, and a quick ā€œlet me show you what will suit you betterā€ is one of the easiest ways to build that trust.

It feels awkward the first few times. It gets easier, and your clients will thank you when their nails are still intact 4 weeks later. No more nail plates splitting horizontally or broken nails šŸ‘‹

Do you dread that conversation when a client asks for almond nails but their nails are too short? Let me knowšŸ‘‡

Why do I still ā€˜practice’ on myself, even after 10 years in the industry?

Because it’s the best way to keep improving — trying new techniques, testing structure, seeing exactly what works without any guesswork. It’s how I’ve grown so much over the years, and honestly, I don’t think that ever really stops.

Watching my own nails grow out like this is a good reminder that retention isn’t about the product, it’s about the structure underneath it. Apex placement, stress point coverage, getting the ratio right — small things that make a huge difference over time.

If you struggle to get your structure right, or find multiple clients keep coming back with lifting, please don’t feel embarrassed about it. It happens to so many of us, and it’s usually not about effort, it’s just something that hasn’t quite clicked yet. Asking for help or wanting to learn more isn’t a weakness, it’s you investing in yourself so your clients get even better results.

I go through all of this with techs in my 1-2-1 training, in a really relaxed, no-pressure way. If you ever fancy a bit of support, I’d love to help. Send me a DM for more info.

šŸ“Œ Save this so you can check in on your own structure in a few weeks šŸ¤
